Change of Scenery

ready or not

[reviews]

These last two months have absolutely sucked. I've been forced to my bed by doctor, all because I tried to do too much and almost cost the twins to come out early. After it happened, I knew Willow was pissed, but didn't want to cause more problems. I have a feeling she is going to wait until I give birth to let me have it. Dawn ignored me for two weeks, and Faith was telling me what everyone else has been saying. Let's just say I wasn't real popular for a while, but then again I'm used to that so it wasn't a big deal. The only way I'm allowed out of this bed is to go to the bathroom, and thankfully, the twins love their mommy because it feels like the only threethings I do are eat, sleep, and pee.

Willow had a coven meeting this morning after we ate breakfast and now I just someone to talk to, but I don't want to interupt any important watcher, slayer workings. 'What the hell,' I think to myself as I look down and see that my water just broke. I let out a gutteral scream announcing to anyone that it is time. The first contraction passed quickly as I started my breathing when the bedroom opened with what seemed everyone standing outside. Faith came running and helped me up while everyone got out of the way.

"I'm not going anywhere without Willow," I announced when we made it downstairs.

"B, I really don't think you really have a say in the matter. I think the twins are coming whether you like it or not," Faith said taking charge.

"Fine, Dawn and Dana can take me while you take Kennedy and go to the coven and get Willow, and if you have to knock people out to do it, so be it," I said as I saw a smile on Kennedy's face.

They have me set up in the delivery room, but there is still no Willow. I really want to call, but the stupid doctor won't allow me. I'm now holding Dana's hand because I almost broke Dawn's after a contraction. The doctor said it is almost time, but I tried to tell him that my partner wasn't here yet. He said he could wait five more minutes, but after that it would only cause complications.

Right after the doctor left Willow came in flanked by Faith and Kennedy. Willow didn't look real happy, but Kennedy had a big smile on her face while Faith looked like she was trying not to laugh.

"You told them to hit anyone that got in there way," Willow said with her hands her hips.

"I'm sorry, but I wasn't thinking clearly at the time. I had two humans pushing their way out of my body," I said pouting which made everyone laugh but Willow. I guess I'm in more trouble now.

------

Slayer or not, that fucking hurt. Next time, Willow can do it, but it makes it all worth it holding our babies in my arms. Willow must have noticed I was noding off because she put the babies in their incubators before climbing into bed with me. Before I fell asleep, she whispered in my ear that I was going to have to make amends for the last couple months. I smiled before telling her give me a week, and we won't be leaving the room for a month.
