"Mrs. Summers," I said allowing her to enter. I hope she isn't here to make trouble seeing that Buffy is now coherent. I offer her refreshments, but she declines as we sit down in the living room. Buffy takes my hand making me less nervous while we settled into an uncomfortable silence.
"Mom, I would like to say that I am really disapointed with your reaction to Willow and I," Buffy said looking a little upset.
"Honey, I'm sorry with the way I acted. Once I said it, I knew what Willow's reaction was going to be, for that I am truly sorry. I wanted to apologize after you guys left, but Faith and Dawn both agreed I should let the situation calm down before coming over to apologize," Joyce said looking sad.
Buffy let go of my hand and went over to her mom to give her a hug. I smiled as mother and daughter reconnected. I blink back tears wishing that my mom and I had a relationship like theirs. I wiped away a tear as I felt Buffy take my hand bringing me over to Joyce. She wrapped me up in a motherly hug whispering that she was happy that it was me that Buffy was in love with which made me cry. I felt Buffy wrap her arms around me from the other side.
Buffy told her mom that we would get dressed before going back home. As Buffy and I ran up the steps, we picked up her discarded clothes hoping Joyce didn't see it. Buffy and I took turns dressing each other. We came downstairs holding hands as we saw Joyce smiling up at us before we left and headed home.
