Chapter Twelve

As Buffy's eyes fluttered open with the first ray of sun that peaked through the window. "Mmmh." She grumbled in slight protest to the immenent probability of waking up. Then she looked down at Willow and smiled. She began running her free hand up and down the other girls arm. "Willow, wake up." She singsonged.

"Dunwanna." she heard Willow grumble. Buffy leaned down and kissed the sleeping hacker. When she pulled back Willow's eyes fluttered open. "Mmh, I could get used to waking up like that." she said with a smile.

"Well good, because it's time to get up, we have a long day ahead of us."

"We do?" Willow asked innocently.

"Of course we do, we have to watch cartoons, and makeout, eat breakfast, brush our teeth, and makeout, maybe get dressed and makeout-"

"I think I detect a pattern here." Willow said with a sly smile.

"You know it." Buffy replied as she placed a quick kiss on her lips and jumped out of bed and ran for the stairs, "First one to the tv gets to choose the cartoons." she called over her shoulder as she left the room.

"No fair!" Willos said as she scrambled out of the bed and after the slayer.

"Good Morning." Giles said as she sipped his cup of Earl Grey tea and ate a jelly filled doughnut while he read the local paper.

"Morning." Faith replied as she sat down at the table with a bowl of lucky charms.

Giles glanced down at his watch. "I assume you will be ready by nine?" He asked as he took a hearty bite of his doughnut.

"Maybe." Faith replied around a mouth full of sugary goodness.

"You know, the Council might cut off your allowance if you neglect to attend the debriefing yet again."

"Yeah yeah, and Buffy doesn't have to go? What kind of bull is that? I've been to at least twenty of those things in the last two years, and how many has she been to since we moved here?" Faith asked in a disgrunteled tone.

"She has yet to be informed of the debriefing, the Council chose not to let her know about them until the seventeenth." he replied triumphantly.

"You do realize that that's last week, right?"

"Yes well." Giles said as he stood up and began to move a little bit quicker, he'd need to leave sooner to make it there on time especially if he had to stop on the way and pick up Buffy.

Back at the Summers Residence:

"The Road Runner could so totally beat Taz in a race!" Willow proclaimed loudly.

"No he couldn't!" Buffy replied.

"Okay, sure, whatever, you're right." Willow said and although that may have been what she said it was obvious that she meant the exact opposite.

"He could!" Buffy cried.

"Mhmm." Willow said again using the same tone of voice. Buffy quickly jumped over and tackled the redhead, tickling her into submission, and just as she was about to lean down and apologize using more than just words the phone rang.

"Damn." Buffy said as she rolled off of Willow and jumped up to get the phone. "Hello?"

"Buffy?" Faith asked into the reciever of her wireless phone.

"Yeah, what is it?" Buffy replied glancing over at the redhead who was just getting off of the ground.

"Well, you remember those meetings Dad told you about? The council ones?"

"Yeah, what about them?" She asked as the redhead sauntered over to her.

"Well, see the thing is..." The door bell rang and Buffy glanced at it just as Willow began the process of giving her a hickey.

"Can you get that Babe?" Buffy asked her. Willow just nodded as she went to the door, only to reveal Faith.

"C'mon B, lets book."

"I can't, Faith, I have things to do today, like ya kno, get dressed."

"Yeah, well, it's not like the council cares how you dress anyway." Faith said with a shrug as she ushered the couple out to the car in their pajamas, and they headed off towards the meeting.
