Chapter Ten

The walk home, other than the very long, very frequent might I add, make out sessions, was rather uneventful. Buffy and Willow ducked through a couple of cemetaries as a short cut. The only hitch happened when Buffy's spidey sense went off that a vamp was near, and, being always worried for her safety, Buffy pushed Willow behind her for protection purposes. She pulled out Mr. Pointy, and got ready to defend herself and her love from a vampire she had yet to identify. She knew only the general location of the menace, which was about twenty feet away in a dark shadow off to the right up ahead.

"Stay back just a lil' bit Baby." She said quickly as she began the hunt. Buffy had just zero'd into the hiding place of the monster when out of the shadows stepped Angel. "Oh. Hi." Buffy said none too cheerfully.

"Listen, I have to warn you about something that's coming." he said, laying the cryptic speak on pretty heavy. "The Watchers-"

"Have sent a mate who's more than just a bit whorish?" Buffy guessed, and then continued with an "Alright Babe, you can come back." yelled over her shoulder. Willow suddenly appeared from behind an old gravestone that was more than just a little bit covered in weeds.

"How did you know? Wait, Babe??" he asked, sounding a little bit surprised.

"Sure, why not? Everyone else already knows, so why not tell the cryptic guy? Babe, as in Baby, as in Love of my life, as in Willow?" Buffy stated bluntly as she grabbed ahold of Willow's hand. Angel's face turned to a look of confusion, then quickly realization, dissapointment, and stoic. All in that order. "And now, if you'll excuse us, we've got to be getting home." she said, and, not waiting for a response, continued onto her house with Willow almost more eager than Buffy to get home.

"What do you think he wanted to tell you?" Willow asked once they were safely inside, with both girls changed into pajama's. They had both agreed that, even though Buffy's mother didn't currently know about them, they would behave themselves as any two platonic best friends should. Plus a few makeout sessions of course. And so sushi and cow pajama's it was.

"I don't know, and honestly I don't really care, all I want right now is to have a little quality time with my girl, either huggling on the couch or the bed, I'm not picky." Buffy said with a slight shrug of her shoulders.

"Huggling?" Willow asked, raising her eyes in disbelief at Buffy's use of a word she had never heard before. "Buffy, I don't think that's a word."

"Sure it is." Buffy replied. And off of Willows raised eyebrows she continued, "It's hugging and snuggling, all rolled up into one. Thus, huggling." She said with a bright smile.

Willow covered her eyes in disbelief and tried not to laugh at the ridiculousness of the word. "Alright Baby, whatever you say, although personally I'm more partial to the bed myself."

"Your wish is my command." Buffy said as she walked quickly over to Willow and picked her up, carrying the redhead up the stairs to the bedroom, and gently depositing her on the comforter.

"Oh, I could get use to that." Willow commented as she pulled the covers back and began to snuggle into the sheets. Buffy climbed into bed next to her and the redhead snuggled into her, letting her head come to rest on Buffy's left arm. "And I could definently get used to this." She paused for a minute before continuing. "Hey Buffy?"

"Mhmm?" Buffy asked, her lips slightly busy as she had decided that she would much rather put them to use on a better subject, her girlfriend's neck.

"Are we ever gonna tell you'r mom about us?" Willow asked with a slight bit of tredemption in her voice.

"Whenever you want, we'll tell her whenever you want Baby." Buffy said as she began to drift off to sleep.

Willow sighed, "Goodnight Buffy. I love you."

"G'night, love you too Wills." Was all the reply Willow got as Buffy quickly lost what remained of her consciousness.

Back Outside the Bronze:
"So uh...how long have you known? About Vamps I mean?" Xander asked after he had gotten over his initial shock at seeing the cheerleader stake an undead fiend.

"Hello? Who doesn't know about vampires?? We're living in freakin' vamp central here!" she said in exasperation.

Xander just shook his head in dissapointment. 'Still the same old vile Cordelia' he thought as he turned and waved good bye in an effort to leave the stuck up cheerleader.

"Xander! Wait..." he turned back to look at her, as if waiting for her to continue. "Uhm, do you maybe want a ride home?" And her was just about to turn Princess Cordy down before he realized that a ride would probably be a good idea considering that it was night and all.

"Sure thanks." He said, climbing into the passenger side, completely missing Cordelia's wide smile at the thought of having Xander all alone to herself.

Giles had just unlocked the door to his condo when, before he even had a chance to let himself in completely he was dragged backwards by a force he couldn't see.

"Gosh Pops, you gotta learn to be more careful about watchin' your back when you're tryin to get inside." his rambunctious daughter said as she breezed past him into the house.

"And just where have you been?" he asked once the door was shut.

"Just out for a walk, you know had a little bit of energy to burn so I went and picked a fight in the crowded strip bar on main, then went to go and shoot up in the back alley of some skanky docks bar." She said with complete seriousness. Giles had not quit cleaning his glasses the whole time. "Then I went and picked up my very own vampire hooker, all before heading home to see my wonderful hard working father." She smiled at him and raised up the bag in her right hand. "I went to get ice cream." She rolled her eyes as she walked past him to the kitchen.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair, "One of these days Faith, one of these days you will be the death of me." He said as he shook his head in dismay.

Meanwhile, across town:
"Yeah Mom, if it's okay, may I stay the night at my friend Amy's house? We're gonna practice a spell." Tara said into the reciever. "Yes Ma'am, I'll be home by noon. Okay, love you too, night." She hung up the phone and went up to Amy's room. "So, what kind of spell were you thinking of?"

"Maybe one that'll make everyone get along a little bit better, especially with Buffy and Willow just coming out of the closet?" she suggested.

"Sure, sounds like a plan, let's get started."

And last but not least, at a motel:
"The supplies must be gathered before the new moon." The voice on the other end of the line said.

"Yes Master, I understand."

"That is all for now."

"Yes Master, as always I remain your humble servent." Lauren replied before hanging up the phone. "Let's just see how 'mated' you really are Slayer." She said as she rubbed her hands together in anticipation of the plan to come.

Unbeknownst to her, a dark shadowy figure lurked outside her door, one that really didn't like the thought of breaking up his little lesbian couple, that would make his job considerably less interesting.

A/N: Sorry, I don't know if I will be able to do it, but I do have a goal of one chapter per day, just ya know, life gets hectic and whatnot. Let me know what you think, if I should continue writing it or not? - L.
