Chapter Twenty Seven
A/N: Sorry its been so long since an updated, RL has been taking over >.< Happy readings - L.

Willow stared at the little bright light as they walked. She kept her eyes on it, as long as it was still lit up, then Buffy was at least still alive if not okay. They walked quickly through the cemetary gates and as they did the light got brighter. The problem was that Buffy and Giles were no where to be seen.

"Maybe they're underground?" Amy asked hopefully. Tara nodded and Willow sighed.

"Well, then we'd better start looking for a sewer entrance huh?" The redhead aske drhetorically.

They searched through all of the moseliums before finding one at the back that had a hidden sewer entrance. Tara muttered something under her breath and a little ball of light shown before them as they started down the sewer. Willow heard something crunch beneath her feet and reached down to pick up the broken pager.

"At least we're going in the right direction." Tara said softly as sthe immediately recognized the designs that the blonde slayer had drawn onto her pager when she'd first gotten it. Willow did her best not to sigh again. She was in an immense amount of pain, not just mentally, but physically as well. For the last three days since Buffy had been taken she had been having horrible cramps, the likes of which she had never had before. As they kept walking down the tunnel a soft noise became apparent.

"Is that... cheering?" Willow asked as they walked closer and closer to the pinpoint of light at the end of the tunnel. She glanced down at the map. Buffy's dot was still there, and it was glowing brightly. She held tightly onto the paper as the cheering became still louder. When they finally got to the end, ther was a sudden drop off and before any of them could stop themselves they had slipped down. Willow had been first and so she was now at the bottom of a dogpile and incredibly uncomfortable given that she was laying on cold concrete.

"Well, looky what we have here." She heard someone say as she looked up. There was a vampire in game face looking down at their little pile. Tara waved her hand and a pencil flew into his heart.

"Nice shot." Amy said as she got up after Tara and extended a hand to help Willow up as well.

*****Elsewhere underground*****

"Enough!" The voice boomed overhead. They had been sparring for nearly six hours, and both were exhausted. The crowd even sounded tired as their cheering for the most part had ceased. "Take them back to their cages now!"

Buffy and Giles both collapsed in exhaustion as two armed vampires came for them both. They became cautious as they got near Buffy to put the handcuffs on her and as soon as they snapped them in place, she collapsed, unconscious. They dragged her under her arms and dropped her into her cage.

"Hey, where's Murphy?" The one who had been dragging the blonde asked.

"Dunno, probably went to smoke a cigarette." The one carrying Giles answered, neither of them noticing the three girls hiding in the shadows.

They slammed the doors shut and the lokcks clicked into place on their own.

Willow watched, already formulating a plan as to how to get the doors open even as the guards walked quickly past her. They waited a few more minutes before approaching the door.

"Giles?" Willow whispered through the door. She didn't hear a response. She stared at the lock for a moment before realizing that they would need a key.

"Let me see?" Tara asked and stared at the door for a moment.

"Wills?" They all heard Buffy say through the door.

"Baby?" She whispered, softly touching the door.

Amy looked at the door for a minute then stepped back, quickly pulling a bobby pin out of her hair. Willow looked at her in disbelief.

"Hey you know how my mom is about the fridge, and I was hungry." Amy said defensively. Then she set to work on the lock and two minutes later, the door was opened.

Willow rushed inside and her eyes took in her girlfriend for the first time in three days for all of half a second before the blonde was in her arms. "I can't believe that you guys came down here." Buffy said in disbelief as she hugged the redhead. She pulled back slightly and kissed Willow softly on the lips. "Thank you." She said through soft tears that were making their way down her dirt encrusted cheeks, leaving trails behind them.

"What else was I supposed to do?" Willow asked.

"Buffy was about to answer she she was shushed by Amy. "Lets get out of here." The brunette said.

All five of them nodded in agreement before Tara poked her head out of the cell. "There's no one out there." Buffy said after a a moment. Tara looked at her, the question evident on her face.

"Spidey Sense." She said by way of explanation. They quickly left the cell, and then started looking for another way out. There was no ladder to climb to get out of the tunnel, and so there had to be a backdoor. It didn't take them too long to find the door that opened to another tunnel. Another couple of minutes and they were all out in the daylight.

Everyone collapsed on the ground in silence, Amy and Tara were both tired from the magicks they had worked earlier, and from carrying Giles out of the tunnel. Or rather, supporting him until they had reached daylight. Giles was just barely conscious, and still hadn't said a word. He seemed to be too exhausted to talk. Willow collapsed from sheer exhaustion and lack of sleep (since she hadn't been sleeping well since the blonde had gone missing). Everyone laid there for ten minutes before Amy and Tara stood up. "Lets get you guys cleaned up and fed. Are you thirsty?" Amy asked Giles.

He nodded his head yes, but still didn't speak. The group slowly made their way to Giles condo, and within an hour both were showered and fed.

"Thank you ladies very much for rescuing us." Giles said as (in an uncharacteristic show of affection) he hugged Willow, Amy, and Tara.

"Yeah, thanks guys." Buffy said, although her eyes were locked firmly on Willows.

"Well, I suppose we'd best call your Mum, let her know youre okay?" Giles asked as he glanced at Buffy.

"Yeah, definately." The blonde replied as she laid down on the couch, resting her head in Willows lap.

Willow glanced down at Buffy. "I missed you."

"I missed you too. My hero." Buffy said with a small amount of wonder in her voice as her fingers softly traced Willow's features. The redhead leaned down and kissed Buffy, relishing in the feeling of her girlfriend in her arms, and as they kissed, in the background Giles could be heard talking on the phone with Joyce, and Tara and Amy were talking softly behind him.

"Yes, we'll be over directly." Giles said before he hung up the phone. "We've got to alert the police that we've been found." Giles said as he softly interrupted the couple. Buffy glanced up to see him cleaning his glasses.

"Yup, long day still ahead of us." Willow said as she laced her fingers with Buffy's.

"What are we gonna tell them?" Tara asked, glancing around the room at everyone.

"We'll figure it out." Buffy replied, giving Willows hand a little squeeze as they all made their way out the door.
