Willow sat down at her desk, and opened her psychology book, getting ready to do her homework. She glanced across the room and saw Buffy getting ready to go out patrolling. "So anyway, Riley went all testosteron-ie on me and was like 'I just feel safer if I'm with you when you patrol.' Blah blah blah. So I guess he's coming too. Want to join in?" Buffy asked Willow.
Willow smiled slightly, vaugely annoyed by the cardboard cut out a soldier her best friend was dating. "Nah, I think I'll pass. You know, homework." She said as she gestured towards the open book.
"Are you sure? Because-" Buffy was interruped by the chirping of her beeper. She sighed and reached over to the phone and dialed a number, completely forgetting to finish her sentence. Willow glanced at her as she began to talk on the phone, and pulled on her headphones.
The techno beat lulled her as she continued listening while reading the page before her.
"Got a big plan his mind's set, maybe it's right

Buffy tapped Willow on the shoulder in an effort to gain the girl's attention. Willow pulled off her headphones. "Yeah?" She asked Buffy.
"Patrol's canceled tonight. The team wants to do it." She looked slightly dismayed before asking, "What are you listening to?" The lyrics for the song continued, and now that Willow's headphones weren't on her head, Buffy could easily distinguish the words.

Willow blushed as she knew what was coming next in the lyrics. "Uhm, it's this band called "She Wants Revenge" and well, I dunno, the lyrics just seem kind of fitting for my current situation I guess." She finished with a shrug and reached over to turn the volume off on her cd player. Buffy reached her hand out to stop Willow.
"I want to hear the rest." She said as she kept a light hold on Willow's hand.
"Uhm, okay."

Then he walked up and told her thinking maybe it'd pass

Buffy glanced at Willow, squinting her eyes as though trying to figure out how this particular song related to her current situation.
"They took a step back thought about it, what should they do?
Cause there's always repercussions when you're dating in school
But their lips met and reservations started to pass
Whether this was just an evening or a thing that would last

Buffy looked at Willow speculatively, and asked "So who do you have a crush on?" She really didn't expect an answer, nor did she expect the slightly pained look on Willow's face, along with the look of utter exhaustion and forfeit.
