catching up

"Dawnie, it's me, Buffy." She looked over at Willow to confirm, Willow just nodded her head.
"Yeah sweetie, she's back."
"Oomph" Dawn just tackled me and knocked me on the floor.
"Buffy?! Buffy you're back. I missed you so much," she paused for a minute, "How are you back and why are you on the floor?"
"I'm not the slayer anymore, I was sent home by the Powers that Be, and now I'm Willow's white lighter, kinda like her protector."
"Oh neat. I missed you so much Buffy." She pulls me into a tight hug.
"I can tell...um oxygen becoming an issue," she lets me go, "Do you guys mind if I go, you know, shower?"
"No, go, we'll take care of dinner and call the rest of the gang, if that's ok?" Willow said.
"That's fine, the less times I have to retell the story, the better." I head upstairs, and into the bathroom, I turn on the shower and get in. the warm water washes over my body and my thought seem to pour out.
*Willow, my Willow is single, maybe now we can finally be together. No, not right now. I just got back and I don't want her to think it's just a reaction to me being back and being overly happy about seeing my family. She needs to know that I intend forever and that I love her.*

So she was sent back to protect me? It fits, she's always been protecting me since high school. But it was never her real duty, she always inadvertently did, protecting her loved ones was always the added bonus of saving the world.
"Well Dawnie, looks like we got our Buffy back." Dawn hadn't stop smiling since she knew it was Buffy.
"I know Will. I don't think I've ever been this happy to se her in my life!"
"I know what you mean sweetie. Why don't you order some pizza and call the gang, I'm going to make sure Buffy's ok." She nodded and hopped off into the kitchen.
*My Buffy was back! I hope she's ok, does she still love me? Or maybe she's not allowed to being my white lighter and all. No why would the powers do that to someone, send her back to torture me?* I hear Dawn on the phone and head upstairs to talk to Buffy.

Without hearing her open the door I know Willow's in my room.
"Hey Wills."
"How do you, never mind the whole white lighter thing huh?"
"Pretty much." And the fact that I love you more than life itself and have always been able to tell that you were in the room.
"So do I get to read your mind and teleport too?" I walk out wrapped in a towel, and her face lights up.
"You should be able to read my thoughts, but the orbing, no that's only something I can do, sorry."
"Can you do it now?"
"Yeah hold on." I orb so that I'm right behind her, "Turn around."
"That was so cool."
"Told you." I start to get dressed finding everything was where I left it. She didn't pack any of it.
"I couldn't" she steps closer to me. My breath deepens and my heartbeat quickens.
"Couldn't what?"
"Put it all in a box. Cause then you were really gone and I wasn't really ready to grasp that."
"Oh Will, you have to know that when I kissed you I knew I was going to die."
*So it was just one last kiss and I was the only person there and she doesn't even-*
"Don't ever think that Willow. Don't ever doubt what I said! It took me dying twice to get the nerve to tell you how I felt. I love you Willow, I have since we met, don't doubt that."
"You do?"
"Yes silly, how can I not?" I step forward, and kiss her softly, she pulls back.
"Buffy I can't, I'm seeing someone."
"But you said Tara..."
"She did leave me. But about two months ago I met someone else."
*oh, I was stupid for thinking she would stay single for long.*
"Should I take that as a compliment?"
"What? Oh well yeah."
