"Maybe I should fill you in on what you missed. Angel became human, Anya died, so did Faith, Xander's a watcher, and there's a new slayer, obviously."
"How did Angel become human? What happened to Faith and Anya? And who's the new slayer?"
"Well the Powers that Be felt that Angel had redeemed himself and made him human, he and Cordy got married about a month ago. Um...Anya was killed by a demon bunny, go figure. Faith heard that you had died and just gave up, she felt if she hadn't messed up you guys would've been together in that fight. And the new slayer"
"Willow!" A tall brunette girl walks into the room and I can feel the power coming off of her, she's the slayer. She walks up to Willow smiling and gives her a big hug....and then she sees me.
"What the hell is going on here? Who the hell is she Willow?" The anger in her voice was subtle but her aura had changed when she saw me...she might not be showing it but she wants to tear me limb from limb.
"Nothing, Ken. This is my new white lighter and best friend Buffy. Buffy this is my girlfriend and the new slayer Kennedy." Willow looked very nervous introducing us...she was acting like she did when I met her, what was up with that...something was up.
*Well new slayers taller, but I get serious bitch vibes off of her* Willow giggled.
*Buffy that's not nice.*
"Isn't she supposed to be dead? And what's a white lighter?" Kennedy questioned.
"Well yeah I was dead, but the Powers that Be sent me back to protect Willow, seeing as she's a big powerful Wicca and they want to keep her in the game for awhile."
*The Powers want me protected but why?*
*I can't tell you that Will, as much as I'd like to it's white lighter/elder info, if I tell you it could change things.*
*You know the future?*
*Well yeah...*
"Hello Willow...what's going on between you two? By the way she doesn't need a protector, she's got me...so you can just go back to where you came from."
"Kennedy, that's not fair...this is her house you are living in and did you miss the part about my best friend???"
*So there...I'm the best friend...I rank higher*
"Buffy..." Willow has to giggle out.
"Willow she didn't say anything." Kennedy was getting even more pissed off.
"No but she was thinking it, that's so immature Buffy."
"Wait you can read her thoughts and she can read yours?"
"Yeah it comes with the whole white lighter package, I think its nifty. Willow used to have to do a spell to do it but now its spell free so Wills doesn't waste mojo."
*Buffy can you give Kennedy and I some alone time? I need to talk to her...she seems mad*
*Yeah Will I'll just go down and talk to Dawn.* Buffy leaves the room and heads downstairs.
"So now that she's back are you just going to up and leave me? Huh? The great Buffy's returned and you don't need me anymore? I already know what you're going to do Willow...so do it now and spare me any more pain. It's over isn't it?"
"I do care about you Kennedy..."
"Willow, just answer the question..." Kennedy starts to look very hurt and upset...I do care about her, she's been there for me when everyone else left me, but I've already lost too much time with Buffy. Kennedy's starting to get impatient, tapping her foot on the carpeted floor.
"I'm sorry Kennedy. I love Buffy, I always have, I always will, and we've already lost each other once, I don't want it to happen again."
"That's fine. Um...I'm going to go patrol. Call me on the cell if you need anything."
