"Well, that Kennedy's really something. She kinda reminds of Faith."
"Yeah she's like you and Faith rolled into one; I guess you found out about Faith then?"
"Yeah, it really hasn't hit me yet, but I'm gonna miss her. So how about you Dawn, how are things going?"
"Great, well now that you're back. I'm doing really well in school, thanks mostly to Willow. My slayings going really well, Xander says I might be a full fledged Scooby soon."
"You're slaying. You're going on patrol??? Why is my 16 yr old sister patrolling?"
"Buffy calm down, Giles thought it best. Since we're linked by blood there's a chance that I could be a slayer, the council calls us potentials. So Xander's my watcher."
"oh I don't know whether to congratulate you or apologize to you."
"I know I didn't know how to take it either."
"So aside from school and slaying what else have you been up to?"
"well I'm seeing this guy and he's absolutely perfect. And before you ask he's not evil...Willow checked him out."
"so what's you non-evil boyfriend's name?
"Tristan, he's supposed to be picking me up on Saturday. We're going to the Bronze to see some band he likes.
"Well I want to meet him."
"Buffy I told you Willow's already checked him out, he's not evil."
"I meant I want to meet the boy who has my sister so infatuated." Dawn and I talk some more before I hear Kennedy come down the stairs.
"Hey Ken, is everything ok?"
"Yeah everything's fine, you ready to go Dawn?"
"Yeah," she makes her way over to the closet, "let me grab my jacket." I turn and walk over to Kennedy, she's upset, I can feel it.
"You guys going out for patrol?"
"Yeah why?"
"Well if you guys get into trouble just yell my name. I'll hear it and come help. Just remember I'm an orb away."
"I'll remember that, thank you Buffy." Dawn walks out the door, Kennedy turns to follow her, "Kennedy."
"Yeah Buffy."
"Thank you for taking care of our family. How about tomorrow you and I talk, we'll go get hopped up on mochas."
"Yeah I'd like that. Catch you later Buff."
"Be careful."
As soon as they're out the door I head upstairs to make sure Willow's alright.
"Did they leave?"
"Yeah Will. What happened, Kennedy looked upset."
"We broke up."
"what, why?"
"Because, I've already lost enough time with you and I've lost you once, I won't lose you again."
I pull her into a kiss, it quickly becomes passionate with us dueling tongues, and our hands learning each other's bodies. I pull back because I'm starting to lose my breath, and look at Buffy and realize she's crying.
*Oh no, what's wrong? I thought she wanted for there to be an us?!!*
"No sweetie, happy tears." I lean down and kiss her again, she presses me up against the wall and start making out again, *hehe, I'm making out with Buffy.* She moves here way down my neck and starts sucking on a very sensitive spot
"mmm....Buffy. I need to tell you something." She makes her way back up to my now swollen lips.
"Yeah Will, what's up?"
"Well it's just, I well, um, I.."
"Spit it out baby, you're killing the mood."
"oh sorry, it's just I wanted to say that I love you but we can't get too carried away cause the Scoobies are coming over later. And if we go any further, you won't be leaving the room for the rest of the night."
" I know, I love you too Will." She say and kisses me. She pulls back and has a look of pain on her face.

*BUFFY!* I wince...that wasn't Willow, oh my god Dawn.
"Buffy what is it? Did I do something wrong? Are you hurt?"
*BUFFY WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!*
"No Willow, its Dawn and Kennedy. I have to go I'll be right back ok."
"Let me come with you, you could need my help."
"I can't Will, I don't know what they're dealing with and I don't want you to get hurt, I'm your white lighter...I'm supposed to protect you."
"No damn it, I'm going with you. Your job is to protect me, that way I can fight evil. And we're facing evil right now Buff so let me fight it." She put on her famous resolve face and there's nothing I can do but comply, you can't beat resolve face.
"Alright let's go, they keep yelling and it's killing my head. Hold on to me."
" I think you just want me to touch you."
