"Girls, Xander is...whoa!" Mom said as Willow and I separated.

"Mom, tell him we'll be there in a minute," I said staring back at a smiling Willow.

"Okay Buffy, first let me say this isn't some experiment with you. Ever since Oz left, you have been completely supportive of me which is when I started to see you in a different light. It was then I realized that my love for you changed. If you would allow me, I would love to take you out to dinner tonight, on a date," Willow said sincerely as I sat there stunned.

I didn't know what to say, but I knew if I stayed quiet for too long, Willow would start to freak. Then I thought to myself this is what I have wanted since I'd come to Sunnydale, but what if Oz comes back, and all I'm left with is what could have beens. Then again, if we take this slow, it might not hurt as much if she leaves.

"Yes Willow, I will go out to dinner with you tonight, but I think we should get inside before Mom thinks we're making out again," I said standing up taking Willow's hand as we headed inside. We passed Mom, who was still smiling, on our way to the living room where Dawn was talking to Xander.

I took a seat on the chair, and Willow sat on my lap. Dawn was practically bouncing on the couch when she saw this while I could see Xander's brain trying to put together what his brain is seeing. I heard someone coming down the stairs, and when Tara came in and saw Willow and I, she let loose with a holy crap.

"Okay, I think I know everything now. First Will, I'm deeply sorry for not saying anything last night. I will help you out in any way I can. Secondly, I want to give you both my blessing on your new relationship, but I think you two should know..." Xander said before Tara came over and put her hand over his mouth.

What doesn't Tara want us to know. The only other females were Anya and Faith. Tara and Faith, now they make the perfect couple. Tara wouldn't take any of Faith's crap, and Faith would give Tara a little more edge. I gave Tara a smile as I was running my hand up Willow's back making her squirm.

I ended up picking Willow up and carrying her to the kitchen. I know Mom caught us kissing, but I want to let her know that we won't be here for dinner. I sat Willow on the kitchen island and stood in front of her while we waited for Mom to come up from the basement. Willow ended up starting to braid my hair when Mom came up.

"Mom, Willow and I won't be having dinner here because she asked me to have dinner with her. She and I are going to see if we are meant to be more than friends," I explained as Mom just smiled before hugging us both. While I was standing there letting Will finish braiding my hair, someone knocked on the door.

I gave Willow a quick peck on the lips as I ran to the front door thinking I know who is behind it. I opened it to find Faith standing there, but instead of letting her in, I closed the door behind me. I figured it was my duty to do the protective friend thing.

"Faith, I'm only going to say this once. Tara has helped me so much since I've started college. If you hurt her in any way, I will kick your ass and ship it back to Angel, okay?" I said as Faith just nodded as I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I turned around to find a smiling Tara.

After Tara gave me a hug, I walked back inside to allow them to talk. I know Tara can take care of herself, but it always looked like fun when Willow did it to a couple girls in high school. I came back into the living room to find Willow nodding off which isn't much of a surprise. We didn't exactly sleep a straight eight hours, plus her body is changing to take care of the baby, so I walked over and carried her upstairs to our room.
