Faith and I decided not to get into any more trouble, so I helped her up, and we headed upstairs. Mom was laughing when we reched the top of the stairs, and I didn't see any signs of Willow or Tara anywhere, so I decided to ask Mom what was so funny, and if she has seen the witches.
"Okay Mom spill, what is so funny, and do you happen to know where Willow and Tara went?" I asked as Mom finally stopped laughing, but looked like she could start back up.
"Well to answer your second question first, they went for a walk, and I'm laughing because before they left, they both said that they would be raising three kids after they explained what went on downstairs," Mom said as Faith and I started laughing too.
Faith and I both headed for the fridge to get something to eat, but Mom shooed us to the living room. Faith grabbed the remote first, and I relented, so we didn't have a repeat of the basement. Of course, we ended up watching cartoons, and Dawn saw what was on and decided to join us. I brought my leg onto the couch, so she could use me as a pillow.
I don't know when I fell asleep, but I was woken up by a kiss. I opened my eyes to find a smiling Willow, and to see that Faith had fallen asleep against Dawn, so we looked like sleeping dominoes. I watched as Tara made her way over to Faith and woke her the same way Willow did me. I felt the happy feelings coming off the slayer bond as she woke up, and when she was finally awake, I nudged Dawn awake too.
The five of us headed to the dining room to set the dinner table. Willow tried to help, but Faith and I both picked up an arm and sat her down much to Dawn's amusement. I gave her an apology kiss before joining Faith in the kitchen.
During dinner, we discussed what is going to be happening tomorrow and the near future. Mom agreed with Willow and I's plan of staying at the dorm until at least the second ultrasound before moving back here for the remainder of the pregnancy.
Tara and I did the dishes since I haven't spent that much time with her this weekend. She tried to get me to tell her how far Willow and I have gone. Even though I think she has an idea, I let her know that a lady never tells. She surprised me when she asked how I would react if Dawn was gay.
"Tara, I would be proud of Dawn, but at the same time, worried for her. I know what it is like to go through high school being gay, but I had friends that loved me unconditionally which made things easier. I love Dawn, sure she is a pain in the ass, but she is my pain in the ass, and I will stand beside her no matter what," I said blinking back tears remembering high school before Sunnydale.
Tara wrapped her arms around me whispering that I should tell Dawn what I just told her. I nodded into her shoulder as I realize I have a chance to be there for Dawn instead of our regular sisterly bickering that gets on Mom's nerves. I gave Tara a kiss on the cheek as she wiped the tears off my face as we headed into the living room.
I swatted Tara on the butt that made her jump before winking at Willow and heading upstairs. Normally, this would be a Mom talk, but since Mom has never gone through this, it falls to me. Another thing that makes me realize that I am growing up. I knock on Dawn's door, and she opens it as I step in.
I pretty much repeat what I said to Tara downstairs without the tears, but I can tell that Dawn is close, so I sit us on the bed and climb in behind her wrapping my arms around her letting her collect herself before talking. I also let her know that no matter what is was, she can talk to me about anything.
