Buffy's Hell

[reviews]

These is all Joss's characters and ideas, I am simply using them to my entertainment. There are ome differences between his and mine though. Tara and Willow were never together, but are good friends. Faith stopped being bad and is now on the good side and in Sunnydale. That's about it I think. Enjoy :D

Crawling out of her coffin she tastes the dirt and her own blood as she climbs up threw the earth. Surfacing she looks around the cemetery. "No, not again." Tears threaten to start to form. She had done nothing but suffer since she had died. Time didn't last, it just went on, seeming to never end.

Again she found herself at her grave. She knew no matter what she did they would die. Her family would die and she would have to watch it happen. Sometimes the forces would make her kill them. Always seeing their eyes as their life drained away as she took the life from them, over and over again.

Falling to her side she laid there. Trying to gather herself, there was nothing that could save her from the hell she was in. Sometimes she would awake in her coffin, other times her bed, and each time it was different. It was always giving her a sense of hope before playing with her and breaking her once again.

All her fears played themselves out. Years of pent up worries came to play each time she awoke, the killing, the blood, the loss.

Taking a deep breath she got up. The cold wet grass lay flat beneath her. The feeling of nothing began to creep into her. Once again she felt numb to the world around her. What would it matter if she fought, she would only end up back here to do it all over again.

Walking off she knew she couldn't leave "Her". Walking home she felt that small bit of her breaking, knowing that she would once again see her love die before her eyes. Sometimes Willow would yell at her, saying she could never love her. Other times Willow would hold her and tell her she loved her. Either way, it ended badly.

But those moments, those precious moments when Willow said she loved her kept her going back to her. Even if it was her loved that killed her. Those seconds between them was enough for her. The feeling of betrayal long gone after the first several tries, knowing that deep down she would rather be killed by her love than anyone else.

Using her senses she found her redhead at her old house. Walking 'home' she found the lights off. Thinking it over for a moment she jumped up onto the roof with ease. Looking through the windows she found Tara, Dawn and Willow all asleep. The house was similar but not the same as she remembered.

Willow was lying in her old room on her bed. It looked as if nothing had been moved since she had been gone. This scene was a bit different from the others. Willow was usually in her room or at her own place, whether that be in the dorms or her parents' house.

Time in hell didn't matter. She could come back at 5 years old and watch horrible things happen or 20 years into the future. The end was always the same.

Opening the window she quickly slipped in unnoticed. Crouching beside her love she gently stroked her cheek, watching as her saddened features changed to that of being at peace.

Smiling her own smile she stayed there. Watching Willow as she slept, smelling that strawberry mixed with her own unique sent. Wondering how in the world she had gotten so lucky as to have made friends with such an amazing woman.

Watching as her friends grip on Mr. Gordo loosened and her shakes stopped at the gentle touch. Moving into a deeper sleep for the first time in months since her best friend was taken from her. Buffy simply stayed there, watching the love of her life sleep.

Hours later when the sun was coming up she didn't know what to do next. Not having been in this situation before she sat back and waited for what was going to happen, to happen. Moving a few feet away she sat in a chair beside the bed. Still watching, still waiting.

As soon as her hand removed itself from Willow the girl began to wake, stirring and stretching tired limbs, shutting her eyes tighter against the sunlight that shown through. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes she opened them to find Buffy sitting on a chair not two feet from her.

Jumping at the sight of her best friend Willow fell off the further side of the bed. Quickly getting up she pointed to the blond, mouthing words but nothing came out.

Buffy simply smiled and waved. "Hey Wills." Her voice was tired yet calm.

"It worked?" Whispering to herself she looked over at her friend. Pinching herself she let out a small 'Ow' before looking back over. The slayer sat there almost laughing at her. "It worked!" Saying it a bit louder she rushed over and threw her arms around her friends' slightly cold body, hiding her face in her the crook of her neck.

Wrapping her own arms around Willow she could feel the warmth from her body warming her skin. Buffy couldn't remember the last time she felt warm, not after everything she had witnessed and done.

Curious she pulled back enough to look into those green eyes that she got lost in years ago. One look and that was all it took for her to know she loved her. "What worked?"

Tears streamed down her face as she held, smelt, and heard Buffy. Crawling back into her arms she pushed herself as close to her friend as humanly possible, crying harder than she had in the last few months.

Surprised and fear quickly filled her at her friends display. Holding her tighter she began whispering into her ear. Not sure if it was helping or not as Willow simply cried harder.

Willow stayed there, lost in the world of Buffy. The slayer simply sat there and enjoyed the moments. It was a sort of gift she knew would be taken away. Her bit of peace would be shattered soon. These moments, were all she needed to keep coming to her. The feel of her love in her arms, the smell that was all Willow, and the sound of her voice it was her heaven in her hell.

Time passed and the two still held one another. Willow continued to cry as Buffy held her and smiled, feeling at peace. She knew it wouldn't last much longer, but loved every moment with her witch.

Finally pulling back she looked down at her friend. Moving her hand up Buffy pushed some red locks behind her friends' ear. Caressing her cheek she let the tears fall. "It's ok Will."

"I can't believe you're back." Closing the gap again she held the blond with all her strength, which wasn't all that much after hours of crying.

Deciding to play along with the story she closed her arms and held her Willow tighter. "Where was I?" Figuring maybe she had been on some trip for Willow to be so upset.

Pulling back she had a look in her eye, scrunching her eyebrows together she seemed to be trying to read her. "You were dead Buffy." Her voice was small and confused. 'How could Buffy not know she was dead? She had to have fought her way out of her coffin. Oh god she had to fight her way out!' Quickly she turned and looked hurt eyes at the slayer. "Oh, Buffy I'm sorry! We thought it didn't work! I tried Buffy, I tried so hard and if I knew! If I knew it had worked I would have... I would have..." Tears streamed down her pale face again.

Bringing her hands up she cupped Willow's cheeks. Shushing her quickly she smiled at her. "It's ok Will, I'm ok." It was a lie, she knew it, but she just wanted to believe it so bad. She wanted her redhead to be ok. "What worked?" Buffy had been keeping her voice light and caring the whole time she spoke.

"We brought you back Buffy." Her eyes showed her confusion. 'How could she not know she's back?' Thinking about it Willow couldn't come up with an answer to that. "We brought you back." Repeating herself she hoped Buffy understood.

Thinking about it she was lost. This was hell, she was still in hell. Yet this Willow seemed to be telling her she had brought her back to life?

Willow watched as her friend seemed to be trying to understand, shaking her head and thinking again. Bringing her hands up she lifted the blonds chin to look into those hazel eyes again. "Buffy, you're alive."

'No, it can't be. I hate hell, I hate hell, I hate hell.' She kept repeating that in her head. Tears started coming to her eyes as she tried to grasp what was going on in this version.

Seeing the slayer below her becoming frustrated and aggravated she quickly tried to think of something to say or do. "Buffy? Buffy, please talk to me." She didn't mean to, but her voice was shaking with fear.

Shooting her eyes up, she looked at her love. "I don't want to be in hell anymore Willow, I don't want to watch you die... again." Pulling her redhead closer she buried her head in her shoulder, crying for everything she had witnessed. She still felt dead. She could still see and feel Willow, her hands covered in her death.

I'm going to try and keep going with this story, with classes coming up it might take me awhile but I promise to continue with it!
