Chapter 17...
***************************************************************************
A couple of hours later and Willow was settling into her new room well. She went to the en-suite and put on her pyjamas and brushed her teeth and hair. She came back in and walked over to her bed. She ran a hand over the soft sheets and smiled before sitting down, bouncing slightly on the mattress. Buffy had put so much effort into a room that she wasn't even sure that Willow would ever use, and that made the witch feel special.

There was a knock at the door. "Come in!"

Buffy poked her head round and smiled. "Hey, is everything OK? The towels hot and dry? The bed comfy enough? Any of the pictures wonky?"

Willow smirked at her. "Buff," Buffy stopped looking around frantically, "everything's awesome." She smiled at her friend, "thanks for doing this for me, you have no idea how much it means."

Buffy smiled and sat next to her. "You feeling any better? Ya know, being back home... with family?"

"Much." It was all Willow said before she smiled an exhausted but genuine smile.

Buffy's smile mirrored Willow's. "Well, I'll let you get some sleep," she yawned, "guess I could use some, too!"

She pulled the brunette into a siideways hug with one arm. "Sleep tight, Wills."

"You, too, Buff."

When Buffy shut the door, Willow crawled under the sheets and burried her head in the pillows. They had Buffy's unique scent on them. After a couple of minutes, her eye lids felt heavy and she started to drift off, until there was another knock at the door.

"Come in," she repeated, this time more sleepy.

This time it was Dawn who came bouncing into the room. "Hey, sorry did I wake you?"

"No, no, I was just resting," Willow said sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Oh... good," Dawn said with a big smile. She sat on the edge of Willow's bed. "I've been dying to tell you something but with, uh..." the teen thought about what words to use, "...everything that's been going on, I didn't think it was appropriate, but now we're back home and you're settled in, I guess I can tell you?"

"You better tell me, 'cause you've made it sound all important and I really want to know what it is now," Willow smiled at the bouncy girl. She was so glad Dawn was happy, whatever the cause was.

"I got into Oxford." Both girls squealed a little.

"Oh my God, Dawnie! That's awesome!" Willow hugged the girl before adding: "Wait, I thought you were already at College? You should've started last year, right?"

"Yeah, but I took a gap year. You know, went on a couple of road trips, got some work experience in..."

"Buffy let you go on road trips?" Willows eyes widened in suprise.

Dawn looked up at the ceiling and pouted her lips slightly in an odd way before looking back to Willow. "What she doesn't know can't hurt her." Both girls giggled.

"Sounds good," Willow said through a half-yawn-half-smile.

"Well, that's all I wanted to say really, so I'll let you go to sleep now," Dawn said with a cheeky smile, she jumped off the bed and headed for the door.

"'K. Night, Dawnie," Willow said already snuggling back into bed.

"Night, Wills," the lanky girl stopped at the door, "Wills?"

"Yeah, sweetie?"

"It's good to have you back."

Willow smiled, eyes still closed. "Good to be back, Dawnie."
