Buffy barged her way into Willow's room and Willow shut the door behind her.
"Look, Will," Buffy began, "I'm not expecting anything from you."
Willow wrapped her arms around herself.
"I just thought you should know... if you didn't already," Buffy continued.
"Buffy, I..." Willow sighed and shook her head slightly, she was trying her best to calm down, it's not like she wanted to be mad with Buffy. "I just... I really wasn't ready to hear it is all and I guess I was just overreacting downstairs."
"With good reason though, Wills. It was stupid of me to just ambush you like, I guess the drink just brought out the truth. I'm really sorry."
Willow nodded a little. She looked at the blonde and felt sorry for her. She knew Buffy meant every word, and she couldn't stay mad at the slayer after that. Both girls were silent. Suprisingly, it was Willow who broke the silence. She walked over to Buffy and a boney hand made it's way to Buffy's cheek.
"I do love you, Buffy... like you love me," she grazed a thumb over a tear that strayed away from Buffy's eye, "I'm just not ready."
"I'll wait forever," she said, looking Willow in the eye.
Willow smiled gently at her and said, "that's so cheesy," both girls giggled a little, relieving some of the tension.
When they'd stopped, Willow stood on her tip toes and kissed Buffy's forehead before pulling her into a hug.
Buffy broke the embrace after a minute, and looked down at her pyjamas.
"Well, I better go get ready," she said before heading to the door.
"OK, you want pancakes for breakfast?" Willow asked after her.
"Sure, Willowy pancakes are the best," she said with her biggest smile, before turning into her room.
She closed the door and ran over to her bed bouncing backwards onto it. She hit the bed with the biggest smile on her face. Willow loved her. WILLOW LOVED HER. She couldn't get her head around it. It was way too good to be true.
Although they weren't together yet, Buffy knew that one day her and Wills would be, and, for now, that was good enough.
