Everything I Ever Wanted

Do you Think...?

[reviews]

"Uno!" Buffy shouted, and then Faith groaned when she noticed the overabundance of cards that she was having difficulty holding in her hands.

"Please tell me you don't have another 'draw 4 wild card'...I don't think I can hold anymore here." The two girls had been playing board games, and had even sparred together for exercise (since the storm outside disallowed for a run around the lake). Now, they were into the card games, and after a few humiliating rounds of Rummy, they had moved onto Uno, which wasn't faring much better. Kennedy had slept in, and Faith didn't want to wake her, and the same went for Buffy with Willow. When the two groggy girlfriends made their way into the living area, they found two sweaty women attempting to block each other's attacks. When Buffy finally had Faith down, the redhead cheered, and Ken booed.

After playing a few board games, and getting some lunch together, their girlfriends retreated the living area again. Kennedy was sketching the different areas of the cabin, intrigued at the hominess of the place, and also wanting to capture some of the week spent together, since neither had brought cameras. As an artist, and finding the strangest places and things to inspire her to draw or paint, she always carried along her sketching materials, opting to paint on a larger canvas later if desired. She was currently sketching her girlfriend and Buffy playing cards, laughing at their barbs back and forth. It was amusing.

Willow had retreated back to the bedroom, and said something about checking the phone messages, since neither had done so that morning. That was two hours ago, and both brunettes noticed the random worried glances that Buffy would send down the hall. Surely it wouldn't take that long to check messages, and return them...unless something was wrong, which was a major possibility. As Buffy laid her final card down (a yellow 3, which Faith was grateful for not having to have a higher disadvantage score), she stood up as her card-slinging partner added up her total. Saying that she wanted to take a break for a while, she
headed back to her bedroom.

Walking inside, she crossed the door, and sent an admonishing glare towards her girlfriend. Willow was laying on the bed, working on her laptop, and listening to music. Looking up, she smiled at her wife...and then her smile faltered when she saw the look and posture sent her way. 'What'd I do now?' Buffy walked over, and looked at the screen. She noticed that the redhead was doing work, and took the laptop away from her, glad that it was running on battery at the moment. Laying it on the dresser, she just ignored the 'hey' in the background, and turned around to see her lover sitting on the bed with a disapproving glance.

"Why'd you do that?" Willow sat up completely, and placed her back against the headboard, while Buffy made her way over to do the same before answering.

"This is our honeymoon. Granted it's not the best weather, and we're all going a little stir crazy from not being able to leave...plus, we have to share it with others...but it's still our honeymoon. That means no work allowed, missy." Buffy linked her right hand in Willow's left, and cuddled up to her against the wooden headboard.

"I know...but you can only take so much of playing games. Plus, we didn't have sex last night."

"We were both tired...with good reason, seeing as how it's been nothing but sex practically nonstop. Now, I love you...but you're killing me, baby." Buffy chuckled, letting Willow know that she was only half serious. After all, both had an equal share in the initiation of each lovemaking session. They were just married...they had an excuse.

"I'm sorry." Willow pouted, and gave her best puppy dog eyes, which Buffy couldn't help but love.

"I'm not..." She leaned in, and kissed the pout away, gently running her fingertips along the creases in Willow's forehead.

"Okay...good...because I was lying anyways." Willow smiled, and Buffy kissed her softly again.

"You lied to me? How dare you?" Buffy's dramatic delivery was comical, and they both chuckled at the terrible acting.

"Baby?" They cuddled back together, and Willow moved her right hand to stroke Buffy's arm that was linked with her other one.

"Hmm?" She was enjoying the feeling of the redhead's soft skin too much, and cursed the weather for trapping them, and barring them from rowing in the lake under the moonlight. When they would visit the cabin, eating dinner in the boat in the middle of the lake with nothing but the moon to reflect Willow's shiny red locks was one of their favorite adventures. Since the storm arrived, their plans were foiled, and they had to settle for wine by the fire, playing card games with Kennedy and Faith.

"Sorry that I was working. Xander called yesterday, and if we don't get the contract proposal in to this new band, then we'll lose them. According to Xan, we don't want that...so, I was trying to finish it."

"I'm not mad. Just surprised. I didn't even know you brought your laptop with you. If I had known that, I would have been playing pinball on there instead of Uno with Faith. You can only take so much."

"I know what you mean. I love 'em both...in a purely platonic way, mind you...but they both have such mean competitive streaks that you almost want to let them win because you're afraid they'll be mad at you."

"Are we referring to that time last night when you made Kennedy trade you salary cards in 'Life,' and she got stuck with the $60,000, and you took her $90,000?" Upon seeing Willow's nod, she giggled. "It was pretty funny how she scowled at you all throughout dinner, though."

"You'll think it funny when Faith starts pounding you for winning Uno."

"How did you..."

"Are you kidding me? The way you screamed 'Uno,' I think my Uncle in Arizona heard you...even over the almost constantly loud booming from outside." Willow snickered, and Buffy playfully slapped her arm, even though she was grinning from ear to ear.

"I wasn't that loud...besides, I'm just as competitive."

"Oh, I know..."

"Wait a minute...you let me win Monopoly last night, didn't you?" Buffy raised an eyebrow in suspicion. "I thought it was silly to trade me Park Place for a simple railroad. Granted, it gave you control over all 4 railroads but..." She noticed Willow not focusing her eyes on her, and suddenly finding the ceiling interesting. "Why...you little cheater."

"Now...how can it be cheating if I don't gain anything from it? Besides...you were already mad at me for kicking your butt at Candy Land the other night. I wasn't taking my chances at not having my Buffy cuddles over some silly game." Willow chuckled again, and was taken by surprise when her lover moved her body completely around, and straddled her waist.

"Well...lucky for you that I don't hold a grudge."

"I suppose so..." Willow's eyes widened, wondering if it was time for some sex...she felt it was long overdue, even if had only been a day and a half.

"However you look at it, though...lucky or unlucky...I do have to punish you for getting to the candy castle before me. I still say the cards were rigged in your favor."

"How do you figure? And punishment?" Willow's breath was starting to pick up pace. Buffy had moved her face close to hers, and their warm breaths were co-mingling.

"It wasn't fair that I was in the lead, and suddenly, I got the plum guy, and had to return to the beginning. It just happened at that time that you kept getting double colors, and were well on your way to winning. I have to punish you for that..." Buffy grinned mischievously, and couldn't help but notice the effect her close proximity and sexy voice was having on her lover.

"Um...that is...no, no rigging here. I mean...it's just a game, and it's not like you didn't win those other 3 times we played. I didn't know you were going to get mopy afterwards. You've never been like that in other games we've played."

"Well, I'm the master at Candy Land...and Pretty, Pretty Princess, too. I'm undefeated. Now, I can't say that." She sighed, and pressed her lips as close to Willow's without actually kissing her. "But if I have to break the record, I'm glad it's to you..." She kissed her tenderly, and moved her hands to the redhead's sides, planning her attack any moment. Just as the kiss started to heat up, she started to tickle her wife, and smiled against their lips when she felt the vibrations of Willow's giggles against her mouth.

"Buffy...stop..." She started to squirm half-heartedly, and subconsciously moved into the blonde's hands, urging her on with her tickle fest.

"What? I couldn't quite make that out...I guess my hearing's gone bad. Did you say keep going?" Willow continued to squirm as Buffy upped the ante, and moved her hands all over to the redhead's most ticklish spots, causing them both to fall on the bed. Both girls were laughing so loud that they didn't hear the two brunettes enter the bedroom. Too focused on getting on her wife for working, Buffy had forgotten to close the door.

"Well...this is a compromisin' position you two are in..." Faith smirked their way, and the two gigglers looked up from the bed, red in the face from both giggling and being caught in an intimate moment.

"Oh...well, not the most compromising but it works for now." Buffy's comment earned her a playful slap from her blushing beauty beneath her.

"We just wanted to let you know that we started dinner...figured you two could use a break from cooking for us...looks like you took advantage of the situation." Kennedy smiled at the genuine warmth that emanated from the girls on the bed. It was hard not to enjoy the company of the two lovebirds. "Spaghetti, since it's the only thing I know how to make. Faith is working on some funky sauce...says it's a Boston thing. I always thought it was Italian..."

"Hey! I just said I learned how to make it in Boston. No big...you'll like it..." Faith shot her a mock glare, and received giggles from the bed. "Oh, you think that's funny, huh? I'll show you funny." With that, she launched herself into the air, and landed on the bed, tickling both girls with everything she had. Soon, Kennedy joined in the fray, and it was tickle fest 2005. "Okay...we really need to go check on the food."

"Okay, Faithy." Buffy slapped her on the ass as she got off of the bed.

"Hmm...okay, B. Just remember payback's a bitch. And I'm the bitch." The two smirking brunettes made their way to the kitchen, and the two newlyweds fell back on the bed together, giggling mercilessly.

"Do you think I'm going crazy?" Willow's voice was curious but her eyes were still glued to her laptop. Buffy let her finish the proposal, since it was obvious it needed done, so she took up writing ideas down in her writing journal. She was getting plenty of good ones for her third book...and after this weekend, she knew she had to make Faith the new slayer. Her badass attitude, and dark, sexual undertones would perfectly contrast Buffy's lighter half, forcing her blonde heroine to face up to the darker side of slayerdom. As she continued writing down several things that she could remember Faith saying, the character was coming full force when she looked at her working lover.

"What's that Wills?" She stopped jotting notes, and looked over to find her redheaded wife still working helplessly at her computer, her adorable concentration face firmly set. 'Aww...I love that face...'

"Do you think I'm going crazy?" Willow just kept working, multi-tasking with her obvious want for conversation. Buffy sighed, knowing what triggered the comment, and laid her journal and pen on the nightstand before sprawling out on the bed next to her lover. Wrapping her hands in Willow's hair, she played with the auburn locks as she brought their warm bodies together for close contact. She was happy when she felt the redhead move closer into her, letting her know that she liked her being near.

"Willow...you know I don't think you're crazy. Kennedy was just teasing you because of the way you positioned the cards in your hand. You're horrible at poker because you always place your cards in a certain order. If anyone pays enough attention, they can tell your method of play easy." Buffy kissed Willow's shoulder lightly, and saw the redhead smile warmly at her, glancing away from the proposal only for a slight moment.

"What are you saying exactly, Buffy? That I could never play poker professionally?" Willow kept her tone playful, while her fingers typed away, and scanned through several portions of her file.

"No...well...yeah, actually. I was actually saying that I pay very close attention...I know your moves left and right." Buffy's mischievous grin earned her another momentary glance, and she captured those tempting lips in a sweet kiss, milking the moment for everything she could get. "Don't pay any attention to Kennedy. We all just have a major case of cabin fever."

"You don't think we're all going to end up with some weird skin disease...do you?" Willow's worry lines amused Buffy, and she stopped playing with her hair long enough to trace them away gently with her index finger, bringing her hand down to caress the soft cheek. The redhead leaned into the touch, as Buffy quietly etched the outline of sensitive, pink lips with her thumb.

"I highly doubt that...but it is Sunnydale...so who knows?" Buffy replaced her thumb with her own lips, and relished in a tender kiss. When she felt Willow's hand caress her cheek, holding her in place for a few more seconds, she smiled that she was that distracting to her work. "You need to finish this..."

"Yeah...I really do." She rested their foreheads together, and both just ran feather light patterns on each other's cheeks. "I'm sorry, baby. You're right...we are getting a little trapped in here. It almost feels like we're being kept here by some bigger force, and it's not letting us leave...almost like a spell of some sort. If only I had a few ingredients lying around..." They giggled, and Buffy made a mental sketch in her head, and made a note to write the idea down later. 'Hmm...trapped in a house...could use that in a later book...'

"It's okay, Wills. I'm right here with ya. I'll see if I can get some more notes jotted down for the third book but when you're finished, I expect extra Willow smoochies." Buffy's voice held no place for argument, and the redhead just leaned forward again, a big grin plastered on her face before she kissed the blonde sweetly. When they broke apart, they went back to their work but Willow still wanted to hold a conversation.

"When are they publishing the second volume?" Willow kept tapping away at the keyboard, narrowing her eyes randomly in thought when she came upon a roadblock. There is a whole lot more involved in contract than just ideas, and she had written enough to know.

"Next month. Since the movie releases in three weeks, they wanted to turn a higher profit, since the first story will be fresh in the audience's mind." Buffy looked up from her scribbling as a thought struck her. "That reminds me...we need to go shopping for the premiere in Hollywood."

"Oh...when we get back, we'll stop at the mall. I need to pick up a few CDs that I missed this week anyways."

"Great...then it's all settled."

"And while we're there, mochas?"

"Yes, please." The two giggled, and resumed their working habits. When Willow was sure that she had everything set, she typed in a few more codes, and due to her wireless internet connection (technology is a wonderful thing), she was able to send the proposal to Xander, and check her gazillion messages in her inbox. After sorting through them, she turned the laptop off, and placing it on the dresser, she plugged the charger into the thin box, and settled next to Buffy on the bed. "All finished?"

"Yep...and look...still all in one piece." Willow stuck her hands out in front of her face, and playfully examined her limbs. Buffy giggled, and placed her things on the nightstand again, turning the lamp off as she went. It was another long night, and the two newlyweds were drained.

"Well...that's good, since I'll need you that way for later." The two positioned themselves under the covers, and glanced at the clock. It was already 2 in the morning, and they were glad that they had prepared for bed earlier. Neither had the energy to go through the long routine at the moment.

"Mmm...Buffy pillow." They giggled softly, as Willow snuggled into Buffy, indicating said pillow's position, which the blonde didn't mind. Kissing tenderly one last time, they once again snuggled under the covers, and prepared for the Sandman. "Do you think that Faith and Ken are happy?"

"Mmmm...they seem to be the past two days. Moreso than they used to...guess it's the close proximity. It does things to a girl." Buffy stroked auburn locks again, as Willow traced lazy patterns against her wife's toned abdomen, directly on the skin underneath the thin tank top.

"Yeah...I know what you mean. It stormed really bad one time when Dad brought us one time. I guess we were about...hmm...11? I love Xander to pieces but it was torture living in close proximity to him for that long. Made me wish I had a dart gun to knock him out." The two giggled sleepily, and started to take deeper breaths as their sleep started to take them.

"I would, too...even worse...imagine Xander and Anya." She felt Willow's cold shiver, and the two giggled again. "I almost feel sorry for baby Jesse. The child doesn't stand a chance."

"At least she has aunts Buffy and Willow to set her straight."

"I'm not sure straight is our strong suit, Wills."

"Well...good point but you know what I mean." Buffy kissed the top of Willow's head, and brushed back the falling strands of silky hair that fell into her wife's face.

"Do you think..."

"Yeah..." With that, the two girls' breathing was calm and soothing, as Morpheus took them into his place. The two snuggled forms had smiles plastered on their faces, and love glowing all over their auras.
