Risky...but worth it

Buffy's Plans...of Willowy Seduction

[reviews]

"Buffy, you're being silly now..." Willow was loving it, though. Buffy was being a showoff...for her. She'd only been here one week so far but she found she was quite attracted to the blonde, and they got along great. They complemented each other perfectly.

"I like being silly sometimes, though." Buffy stopped, though. She was being too immature for Willow. She kept trying to be mature but then Willow would say something, and Buffy would feel like the redhead thought she was too young.

"Me, too." Willow leaned in, as though it were a conspiracy if anybody else knew.

"Hey! Do you wanna dance?" Buffy knew it was a shot in the dark. It was an even bigger shot when she asked Willow if she'd like to come to the Bronze w/ her friends tonight...but the redhead had agreed...w/ that amazing smile that made Buffy melt.

"Yeah...why not?" Willow was glad that she looked younger than she was. The guy at the door even carded her twice b/c he didn't believe her. He eventually let her in w/o an X marked on both hands, and all of Buffy's friends thought she was the coolest thing b/c of it. Willow wasn't used to being cool...especially here in Sunnydale. She could relate to Buffy in the sense that they'd both have graduated high school when they were 15. Willow found that she and Buffy were beyond great together. She'd never been more herself than when she was w/ Buffy.

"Thanks for coming tonight. My friends think you're a smash." Buffy had told Cordelia in confidence all about the redhead, and how Buffy was totally smitten w/ her. Cordelia had to meet this redhead for herself, and didn't believe Willow was 21, either. Of course, she didn't believe Buffy was only 15 when they'd first met. She'd asked to see her birth certificate for definite proof...but they'd remained friends, and had each other's backs. Willow was a definite step up from that loser, Fred.

"I'm glad they like me." Willow knew the friends might not approve once one of them made their move. She also knew that she would have to let Buffy make the first move. Being older, she wouldn't want Buffy to think she was pressuring her into anything. She already hated lying to her about the real reason she was here.

A slow song came on, and Willow's eyes went wide. Buffy saw Cordelia mouthing 'do it' to her over Willow's shoulder. It was now or never.

"Um...still wanna dance?" Buffy was like a nervous schoolgirl, and it was so cute.

"Of course, silly." Willow wrapped Buffy's arms around her neck, as she wrapped her own around the blonde's waist. "I like this song."

"Really? Sing it to me." Buffy loved the song, too...but she was beyond nervous. She was dancing...slowly...and gracefully...w/ Willow...HER Willow. The 21 year old that was off limits.

"Oh, no...you wouldn't want that." Willow was intrigued by Buffy's enthusiasm for the things she loved. She was glad that the blonde had asked her to dance. She wanted to...but again...Buffy had to make the first move.

"Why not?"

"Me and singing aren't a pretty combination. It's a bunch of squeaks, squawks, and otherworldly sounds in no way resembling the actual song being vocalized." Willow was blushing...and Buffy found that adorable.

"I'm sure it's not that bad."

"Oh...oh, it is. It really is. You should hear me in the shower."

"I'd love to..." Buffy was off in fantasyland before Willow realized what she'd said.

"Oh, sorry. I mean...um...I like this song."

"You said that already." Buffy was smiling. Apparently, the redhead was getting flustered being this close to her. Hmm...that was a note for her mental database...and a thought that had her jumping in her pants!

"I did?" Willow shook her head clear of Buffy in the shower. Seemed she'd cursed herself w/ that one, too. "Oh...yeah, I guess I did."

"Hey, watch it!" Buffy yelled over her shoulder at the guy that had pushed her. Then, she turned around to see that she was nose to nose w/ Willow, who was holding her completely now. "Hey..."

"Hey." Willow didn't think this was the place. Too public... "Song's over..."

"Oh, um...yeah..." Buffy hated it. She was THIS close...THIS close to Willow...to kissing Willow...and she chickened out. Then, when Willow let her go, Buffy's thoughts came back to her. Public place. Duh...Willow could get in some serious deep trouble. Jail even...though the Sunnydale police wouldn't know the difference just by looking at them.

"Ready to go home now? I promised Giles I'd get you home before bedtime..." Dammit...that was really lame...Of course, when you're trying to woo a girl, remind her that she still has a bedtime and you don't.

"Oh, um...wanna patrol first? I kinda need to work off some more energy." Buffy hated being reminded, too.

"That's fine...but a quick sweep. I don't want him to worry." Dammit...she did it again.

"Sure..." But it wasn't a quick sweep. It never is when that's your intention. A couple of the Master's minions had attacked them, and when she saw Willow being tackled, all Buffy saw was red...and not just red hair.

The vamps didn't know what hit them, as their remains floated away...but Willow and Buffy did manage to get some information. The Master was ready to rise in a few days...and Buffy was the only one to stop it.

-----------------

"Hey, B...hungry or horny tonight?" Faith liked to tease Buffy about the slaying after effects. It was in her job description.

"Shut up, Faith. Go back to bed." Buffy wanted to vent. Not only did a vamp sideswap Willow, the redhead had made it clear twice tonight that Buffy was just a kid to her...a kid w/ a bedtime.

"What's wrong w/ you? Red still not giving you any?" Faith knew she was treading on thin ice when she saw the fire in Buffy's eyes. She backed down immediately. "We're cool. No need to jump."

"God, Faith. She thinks I'm a kid!" Buffy flopped down on her bed.

"Uh...you are technically still a kid..." Faith went to help put away the weapons. It's what was really in her job description...she just liked to add to it.

"Not helping, Faith." Buffy tossed her boots in the closet, and threw her jacket on the chair. Faith picked those up, too.

"Well, if you want my opinion..."

"Really don't..."

"I think she likes you, too."
"Really? What makes you think that?" Buffy wanted her opinion now.

"I thought you didn't want my opinion?"

"When has that ever stopped you?"

"True..."

"So spill...did she say something??"

"Not so much...but I heard her talking to Giles on one of my many eavesdropping sessions..."

"And...out w/ it..."

"She said something about you being more than she expected. That you were a whole lot more than her last girlfriend."

"So...so, Giles knows? She's talking to Giles?? About me? About possibly being my girlfriend??"

"Calm down, Buffy. I just tell what I hear. It sounded like she was asking him for permission to date you, or something like that." Faith was surprised at the HUGE bear hug she was crashed in...Buffy caught her off guard. "Wind...leaving..."

"Oh, sorry...What did he say? Did you hear what he said?" Buffy was beyond excited. Willow...HER Willow...was asking permission...from her father figure. That was noble.

"Not really. He just said you'd make good mates, which in Giles speak could mean just friends. It didn't sound like he minded, though. Maybe you should talk to him about..."

"What? Are you crazy? I can't talk to Giles about this!"

"Why not?"

"It's personal!"

"And telling him that your piss smells funny isn't?"

"Well, that was...different. Would you tell Giles about your dates?"

"That's different. I'm only 13, and my dates are usually only at max 16."

"Not helping again."

"Maybe he'll surprise you. I mean...he sounded okay w/ it when he was talking to Red, so maybe the old man's a little more open minded than we thought. I mean...come on...he'd have to be if he raised you."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing...just commenting." Faith finished putting all of Buffy's weapons away after cleaning them thoroughly, and the girls went to bed, both w/ big smiles on their faces.

---------------------

"Say...um...Willow, would you like to go out sometime? Like on a date?" Buffy was standing in front of the mirror, practicing when Faith walked in, laughing at her attempts.

"Oh, Buffy, of course I will, you super stud..." Faith put on her mock high voice, and it wasn't long until Buffy tackled her to the ground.

"Girls, what's going on up there?" Giles came rushing up, despite the 'nothing' and 'we're okay' that he got in return. "Doesn't look like that...would you two stop? We've already had complaints from the council on the patchwork from your last fight. I swear, I've never seen anybody actually use a bowling ball as a hurling instrument before..."

"We'll be good, Giles." Buffy had Faith pinned beneath her, and they just smiled sweetly up at him.

"What was the fight over this time? Better not be that blasted record again..." Giles was far too old to enjoy the musical styling of techno punk.

"Buffy was just trying to figure out how to ask Willow out..." Faith got a dirty look, a hand over her mouth, and a hard elbow in the side for that one.

"She's just kidding, Giles...aren'tcha, Faithy?" Buffy tugged her hair, so that there was no choice in the nodding.

"Buffy, mind if I talk to you downstairs a moment? No need for eavesdropping, Faith. You'll get your talk soon enough." Giles left them to it for a moment. He used his 'now, no arguments' tone, and that always won w/ them.

"See what you've done...now I'm never gonna get to...thanks a lot for ruining my life." Buffy hated Faith right now. She didn't want to...b/c she knew it was an impossibility anyways. Willow was off limits territory for the slayer, no matter how much she wanted to argue otherwise. There was just too much in the age difference, and she knew it was too good to be true that Giles would allow such a thing.

"I'll allow it." Okay, what? Giles had just come out and said it...just like that. No, what the devils, or good lords...just 'I'll allow it.' They didn't even start the talk yet. "Willow is a lovely young woman, and yes...age difference is a major issue. We'll have to be mighty careful on who we tell but...I do think you two look lovely together. You have my blessing if you'd like to ask her out."

"Giles, are you on crack?" Buffy could think of no other reason.

"Of course not, Buffy. In our line of duty, there's not much time to argue age...for some of us might not have very many years to live." Giles hated to get dramatic but it was true. He wanted what was best for Buffy...and the best was Willow. He could see it...in the way the girls looked at each other. It was almost as if they were already connected...already mated...as though they're coming together at this hour was foreseen in some ancient prophecy. He wished that book would hurry up and get here from England. It was starting to piss him off... If what Buffy and Willow told him were true, the Master had plans to rise in the next few days. Buffy would have to miss her Prom...possibly her graduation. He didn't want her to miss, either. Truth be told, he didn't want to miss, either. Raising this young woman...was quite a feat, true...but he felt like a proud father that his 'daughter' was about to attend college...if all went well.

"Giles...are you sure? I mean...if it's really a problem..."

"She's at home right now, I believe."

"See ya!" Buffy was out the door in a second flat. Yep...the mating was possibly going to happen as planned. There was just something about the chemistry b/n those two...and Buffy's cramps stopped whenever Willow was around...or at least she hid them better, or didn't focus on them as much.

Now that she was here, she didn't know what to do. She'd been practicing nonstop what to say for days...and now that the moment was really here...now that she knew Giles didn't mind...Buffy was tongue-tied. Knocking was a good first step.

"Just a minute..." Willow was in the middle of making coffee for herself...decaf, since it was already so late. She was planning on a quiet evening alone...meditating on days to come, and what to do about her serious attraction to Buffy. She knew what she had to do...but she wasn't sure if it was all a part of the mating ritual herbs, or actually herself feeling these things.

"I'll wait a lifetime for you..." Buffy whispered to the door, as she touched her fingertips lightly against the wood.

"Do what?" Willow opened the door, and it startled Buffy. "Buffy! Hey, I thought you and Faith were going patrolling tonight."

"Oh, I...uh..." Buffy couldn't take her eyes off of Willow...all sexy...in that tight white tanktop, and the pajama pants that were so lowcut it showed her perfect midriff. The blonde couldn't stop staring.

"Buffy, you still w/ me here?" Willow waved her hand in front of the blonde but was getting no response. The way Buffy was looking at her was starting to make her too aroused. Not a good thing this early in the process. It was too soon...Buffy would smell her arousal w/o a doubt...and things would possibly get outta hand. Maybe it wasn't a good idea for them to be alone like this quite yet. They hadn't really been alone yet.

"Always..." Buffy snapped out of her reverie, and smiled the biggest smile she could muster. "Hey, Will! I was just in the neighborhood..."

"You live right there." Willow smirked, pointing to the door next to hers.

"Well, yeah...hence...neighborhood." She wasn't doing so hot yet.

"Did you um...need something? Is everything okay?" Willow knew that letting the blonde past the doorstep was a big risk...

"Oh, everything's fine. Just wondering what you were up to..." Buffy rocked from heel to toe. This wasn't going as planned. In her plan, Willow opened the door, took her into her arms, and they made sweet, sweet love until the morning.

"Oh, um...getting ready to meditate. You sure you're okay?" Willow could tell Buffy was up to something but couldn't figure out what yet. That's one of the things Willow loved most about Buffy...her spontaneity. Wait...did she just say love? She meant like. Liked about Buffy.

"Mind if I come in?" Buffy could play her cards...

"Oh, um...I don't...okay..." It was a risk she was willing to take. "Did something happen w/ the Master? Did Giles get that book from England yet?"

"What? Huh? Oh...um...no, not yet. He's been complaining about that all day." Buffy looked around the flat. It was the first time she'd ever actually been in here. Willow always came over to theirs.

"Can I get you some decaf? I just brewed some. It's fresh and steamy." Willow blushed...b/c she imagined a certain blonde just like that. "Um...half milk half decaf?"

"You remembered." Buffy's smile lit up the whole room. That made the redhead feel more at ease about letting the blonde inside. "I like what you've done to the place. I've never actually been in here."

"It's just the mirrored version of yours." Willow called from the kitchen. Truth was...she'd been drinking her coffee the same exact way ever since Buffy had let her taste hers that first time they went to the Espresso Pump. It seemed that Buffy was already a big effect on her life.

"It has that Willowy touch, though. A lot better than the old stuffy British look Giles has going. I keep asking him if we can put up posters Faith and I get from the Bronze but he always says no." Buffy browsed Willow's bookshelf, looking for a certain book. The one she had told Willow was her favorite. She didn't find it, which kinda made her frown a bit. Batting 1 and 0.

"Glad you think so. This was where I grew up...was born here. Never saw the outside of the town limits until I moved to Oxford for college when I was your age." Willow handed Buffy her mug. Sure enough...it was tasty. "It's not too strong? The coven members that drank coffee always said I made it too strong."

"No, it's perfect." And it was...just the way Buffy liked it. "You grew up here in Sunnydale? So you had to endure the wrath of Snyder, too, huh?"

"Just my senior year. Principal Flutie was eaten by students that were possessed by hyenas, so they brought Snyder in... Of course, not many of us actually knew it was the students. The press just said it was a pack of wild dogs...just like the vampire victims." Willow sat down on her couch, and tucked her feet under her legs. Buffy did the same.

"I'm glad I've only been here three months. I don't think I could've stood it for four years." Buffy sipped her coffee. Yes, it was perfect. That was always one of her things growing up...her soulmate would know how to make the perfect cup of coffee. She couldn't wait to tell Cordelia about this. She would flip!

"It wasn't all bad. Of course, I skipped from 6th to 9th to 12th, so I wouldn't know about the four-year thing. Giles said that Prom is this Saturday. Any cute boys ask you out?" Willow knew Buffy knew that Willow...okay, it was the big the slayer is gay thing. It was common knowledge.

"I thought you knew about the..."

"Chill, Buffy. I'm pulling your chain. I know..." Willow smiled, and was relieved when Buffy rolled her eyes in amusement. "So...any cute girls ask you out?"

"Yeah...just not the right ones." Buffy looked right at Willow when she said that, and was glad when she saw Willow blush, duck her head, and push her loose red hairs behind her ear. That meant the redhead understood. "Will, I've been thinking...about..."

"Excited about graduation?" Mentally, Willow chastised herself. She had just changed topics, just as Buffy was going to ask her out. Dammit...she never was good at relationships.

"Oh...um...I guess so." Buffy was deflated now. Willow had obviously changed topics before the topic in the air could be discussed. Guess Will didn't like her like that after all...Faith was just hearing things again...

"Hey..." Willow scooted closer to Buffy, and ducked her head to get a better look at those eyes. It was always better in those eyes. "Hey, Buffy...look at me."

"I'm nervous...and sad...and frustrated...and I don't know what do..." Buffy was on the verge of breaking down. She felt heartbroken. Just brushed aside...

"Hey...it's okay...You're not the only one that ever feels those things." Here goes nothing... "I feel them, too."

"Yeah, right..." Mopey Buffy was never a good thing.

"Buffy, look at me." Willow waited until those hazel eyes were locked w/ hers. " I feel them, too."

Those eyes...that voice...Buffy was brought back from mopey land...and pulled into a Willow hug. A tight Willow hug...that had them pressed together. Body to body. Skin touching skin b/c Buffy still had on her workout tank. Both of their breathing labored, and breaths hitched, as the electricity sparked b/n them. Pulling back from the hug first, Willow waited for Buffy to look her in the eyes again. It was up to Buffy...it'd been almost two weeks since she'd been here...almost two weeks until the mating ritual...but there was something more...

"Willow, if I asked you something, would you promise not to freak?" Buffy stayed right where she was. Moving would've been stupid on her part. Their lips were a hairsbreadth apart. It would've been really stupid.

"No." Okay, not prepared for that one. "I can't promise I won't freak b/c I more than likely will...but I'll give you an honest answer."

"Oh...then...um...at the risk of you majorly wigging...do you think that um...maybe...if you're not busy Saturday, you'd maybe...um...bemydatetotheprom?" Buffy wanted to go out before then...but this way, she'd at least get a pity date. Any date was good for her.

"Buffy, I'm not so sure that's..." Willow swallowed hard. They were so close to kissing...just a few more inches...and Buffy's lips were so tempting... "Of course..."

"Really?" Buffy didn't believe it. She needed to hear it again.

"Yes, really...I'll um...be your date." Willow had to fight the urge to just kiss Buffy herself. Control...that's what this was all about...

"I'm about to do something that you might not like. Promise not to wig?" Buffy inched closer, giving Willow enough time to pull away...but she didn't.

"No...but I promise to kiss you back." Woah! That did it...Buffy lightly tapped her lips against Willow's at first, getting a feel for those luscious, soft perfect pink lips she'd been studying for the past few weeks. Then, to her surprise, Willow deepened the kiss, placing her hand against Buffy's hip, holding her in place. Buffy followed her example, and led the way from there. Willow let her take the lead. It was the most amazing first kiss she'd ever experienced...one she'd never forget.

"Don't you have to patrol?" Willow wrapped her hands in Buffy's hair, as the blonde moved her kisses along the redhead's neck.

"Already did...got home early..." Buffy took her time, studying every inch of the redhead's exposed neck.

"No problems w/ minions?" Willow's eyes rolled back in her head when Buffy found that one spot...that spot that always drove her wild. Right behind her ear.

"It's always quiet before the big battle." Buffy didn't want talking...she wanted more kissing...maybe a little gropage if Willow would allow it. She had to feel Willow's skin beneath her fingers.

"When does..." Willow was stopped from further comment, as Buffy crashed their lips together again. The redhead had no objections. The blonde was an expert kisser...even for a 15 year old. That's when it hit Willow. The age didn't matter...b/c in slayer years, Buffy was much older than the redhead. By leaps and bounds... The sisters in the coven knew what they were doing by allowing her to volunteer for the position. It seemed like a tough assignment on paper...but in person, anybody that rejected Buffy was a dumbass. Plain and simple.

"Will..." Buffy brought her tongue into the business of things, and when she heard Willow's little whimpers and moans, she started to move her hand up the redhead's side until she was drawing light patterns along her hip. This seemed to up Willow's enthusiasm about the kissing, and she ran her hands inside of Buffy's tank, all the way up the back, keeping her in place.

"We...mmm...Buf...we gotta...Giles...dinner...not time..." Willow was too caught up in the moment to care. Kissing Buffy was like kissing heaven. Here Willow was...the more experienced one of the two...but Buffy was the one w/ the tricks. As far as she knew, Buffy had never actually gone all the way. The Council would know that. Giles would know that for sure. Willow would be her first and only. The redhead found she didn't mind that one bit.

But it wasn't time yet. She gave Buffy one last kiss...and another...and another...before she let her go back to her own flat. Now...Willow found that the hard part was the wait.
