Chapter 4
"O.K. so what have you been up to," asked Willow trying to keep this a civilized conversation.
"So you want to know everything right," Willow nodded in agreement, "Well to answer the question that you asked me so long ago. It had been happening for about a month. When I went out I was really drunk so I could only go about two miles or so until I collapsed. I felt as if the world had been pulled out of me because I just couldn't find the strength to get up. I just lay there for a while until this guy came up behind me. I could tell he was a vampire but I just couldn't get up. He came around behind me and bit me. I felt the world slipping away and I knew I was going to die and I wanted it because I thought you guys all hated me," Willow was shocked at this but Buffy continued to take the plunge, "I woke up a while later in this really white place. Then this chick decked out in black leather came up to me and starts telling me it wasn't my time and stuff like that. She tells me I have to come back to earth to help you guys with something and that she will give me extra powers, blah, blah, blah."
"You died?" Willow was having a hard time getting over the fact she died, "again?"
"Ya trust me t was a shock for me to it took me three months just to get used to all the new stuff," Buffy says.
"What new stuff?" Willow asks.
"For one I guess in an easy to explain way. Actually the way she broke it to me is I'm an angel," she concluded. Willow started to feel dizzy and sank onto the bed behind her.
"What...How...What?" Willow says starting to get really confused.
"Yes I did know she was going to ask that... No I stand by what I said to you I will help," Buffy says seemingly talking to herself.
"Buffy what are you talking to?" Willow asks hoping her friend just isn't crazy.
"Oh the girl that I told you of she kinda taught me how to open links with people," Buffy was hoping that Willow wouldn't be freaked out by this.
"Oh," was all Willow said.
"To get through this quick she said I have to come help you supposed to not tell you about me but that went out of the window."
Willow was in a panic but didn't let it show.
'Buffy died,' she thought, 'oh my god that is my fault I kicked her out knowing she was drunk I am so stupid.'
"To get through this quick she said I have to come help you wasn't supposed to tell you about me but that went out of the window... Willow are you listening to me?" Buffy asked looking at her best friend.
"Oh ya I am," says Willow quickly.
"But to continue she said I had to get this scythe, blah, blah, keep you from dying, blah, blah, watch you when this is all done," Buffy said looking bored. It was at this moment that Willow sees that neither of their lips have moved during this whole conversation.
"Wait is this that link you told me about?" Buffy nods in answer to the question.
"Oh..." Willow says out loud.
"Want me to stop?" Buffy asks looking scared.
"Well if you want to," the truth was neither of them wanted to stop this link, but Buffy reluctantly pulled out of Willow's mind.
"So what happened to you?" Buffy asks looking more nervous than Willow has ever seen her.
"Well lets see. Giles came back from England with some future slayers. The high school was made again. Thing called the First Evil is trying to kill us," Willow says trying to make it all sound boring.
"Willow I know your mad that I wasn't there like I should have been," Buffy voice contains self disgust and Willow makes to stop her but Buffy silences her by continuing, "But I really want to make this right but I don't know how."
"Buffy just by coming back you made up for most of it," Willow says pulling Buffy's chin up with her hand. In an unexpected motion Willow puts her hands behind Buffy's head and pulls her into a soft kiss.
'Oh my god is she really kissing me or is it just my imagination,' Buffy was brought out of her thoughts by Willow nibbling on her bottom lip. Buffy let out a soft moan at his action. Willow pulled away right when Buffy moaned.
"So does that mean you forgive me to," Willow says putting on a pouty face. In reponse Buffy pulls Willow into a tighter embrace and kisses her on the lips again.
"That means I more that forgive you," Buffy whispers into Willow's ear. Right then the door opened and Giles came in.
"Oh sorry just came in to check that neither of you were hurt," Giles says adverting his eyes from the two girls.
"Giles can you come back in another ten minutes or so we haven't finished talking yet," Giles pulls the door closed as the girls share another kiss.
"So Giles which one of them is still alive," says Xander trying to make it comical.
"Both," is all Giles would say in response. Faith gets up and puts her ear to the door. A smile reaches her face as she listens to the sounds in the room. She goes over to Xander, holds out her hand, and says, "five bucks." Then Xander reaches in his pocket for his wallet with a smirk on his face.
