Chapter Twentyfour

Buffy woke up, slowly regianing consciousness as she felt the redhead in her arms moving, and then kissing her neck. "Mhmm" she said, as she pulled Willow closer. It had been an overly exerting night, and their plans had yet to be fulfilled. That and Buffy and Willow had been too emotionally drained to do much of anything. "What time is it?" Buffy asked, before she leaned in to kiss the redhead.

"Mmmmm...something like....noon-thirty." Willow answered lazily between kisses. Buffy sat up suddenly.

"Twelve thirty?" She asked, sounding panicky. Willow nodded, and Buffy began to panic for real. "Crap. Mom was supposed to be home at noon." She said as she began to scramble to put some clothes back on. Willow pouted as she watched her girlfriend struggle with some pants witht heir legs in knots. Once she had pulled them on, Buffy walked over to Willow and placed a chaste kiss on the redhead's mouth. "Good morning." She said through a smile, and went back to getting dressed, only to leave the other girl in the room to manage dressing herself while she went to check on Angel.

Angel however, was no longer anywhere in the house, and so she headed down the stairs, only to find her mom walking in the front door, carrying some luggage.

"Here Mom, let me help you with that." She said, grabbing ahold of the luggage before taking it up the stairs, not knowing that her mom was following her until she reached the top of the stairs she had been so quiet.

"Hey Buffy?" She heard Willow call out for her.

"Just a sec Will." She answered the redhead as she sent her mom a smile. However Willow didn't want to wait it seemed.

"Are we gonna tell your mom today?"

"Tell me what?" Joyce asked staring at her daughter, and then at the redhead who had suddenly appeared in a large t-shirt with a 'deer caugh in the headlights' look on her face.

"Uhm, uhm, tell you about the new study program we worked out." Willow managed to stammer out as she turned more red than the roots of her hair.

"Oh really, what new study program is that?" Joyce asked, her interest peaked as she watched the two girls scramble to cover something up, although what she wasn't sure.

Later that day:

"So, as I was saying, we had to make up some totally bogus study plan so she didn't kill us both there on the spot." Buffy said as she sparred with Giles, only to get the wind knocked out of her as Giles landed a hit for the first time in all their training sessions.

"Are you feeling okay?" He asked as Buffy seemed to almost double over in pain. Willow was right by her side in an instant.

"I'm not feeling so-" Was all Buffy got out before she fell to the ground, unconscious.

Courtney looked down at the Slayer as she was brought into the office, and layed down on the couch. "Ohh, looks like you really did a number on her." She said, eyeing Willow.

"What? I didn't do this to her!" Willow said, her voice raising just a little bit.

"Uh huh, sure you didn't." Courtney said in an 'I'm only agreeing with you to shut you up' kind of voice, she closed her eyes for a minute "Damn, uhm...you really didn't do this to her." She said as she opened her eyes. "Take a look at her aura." She said to Giles, who concentrated and then looked at his charge's aura.

"Oh my."

On the other side of Sunnydale:

"It's working." The voice said over the phone.

"Good, how long until she falls?" Lauren asked as she glanced at the orb showing her the Slayer.

"Not long now, maybe two days."

The line went dead and Lauren smirked as he plan began to unfold before her eyes.
