Waking up

by Lost

Taking Trips

[reviews]

Willow and Buffy half sat, half layed on the couch, snuggling together. Buffy was holding Willow in her arms while they watched some made for tv movie. Willow looked up at the blonde through lidded eyes and couldnt supress her smile as it warmed her features. "I love you." She said as she leaned up and captured a kiss from the blonde. Buffy smiled, feeling that the redhead actually meant the words she said.

"I love you." Buffy said after the kiss ended. She thought for a minute, then asked "So...are we gonna tell people about us?" She was already secure in the relationship, that much was obvious. Willow looked at the blonde.

"Do you want to?" She asked quietly. The redhead didn't seem to care either way, she wasn't exactly social, but Buffy was at least known around school for something other than scholastic abilities.

"I dunno, I mean... I kinda want to keep you for myself." Buffy said, punctuating her sentence with a kiss. "Maybe we could tell Xander or someone...I don't konw that I could be around you without wanting to touch you." Buffy said softly as she rubbed little circles with ther thumb on the redhead's hand.

"Well, I think someone might notice if we were always touching." Willow told her quietly. So far her adventures into being gay hadn't gone very far. In fact they hadn't really gone anywhere besides information she had found online. "Maybe we should-" She was cut off by her cell phone vibrating in her pocket, which was currently very close to Buffy's upper inner thigh.

"Oh, silent. I like it!" Buffy teased the now bright red redhead. "Just teasing, answer it." Buffy said and while Willow went to open the phone, Buffy started placing small needy kisses all up and down the hacker's neck.

"Hello?" She squeaked into the phone. She hadn't bothered to check the caller ID, only one person usually called her.

"Will, where are you guys?" Xander asked his best friend. He hadn't seen her since chemistry, and was getting worried now that she wasn't in the usual place they met.

"Uhm, Xand, can I call you back?" Willow asked breathily.

"Yeah, sure..." He heard a soft sucking noise and Buffy worked on Willow's neck, "Ohh, I heard that, someone's getting lucky, someone's getting-" He singsonged before Willow shut the flip phone, smiling softly.

"What time is your mom coming home today?" Willow asked, her eyes connecting with Buffy's and communicating a silent need between the two girls.

Buffy glanced at her watch. She sighed heavily. "Pretty much now." She said as the front door opened.

"Buffy!" He mom called, as she carried in a giant box.

"Yeah Mom?" Buffy asked, untangling herself softly from Willow and standing up.

"Oh, good, you're home." She said as she dropped the box roughly to the ground. "Oh, Hello Willow dear." Joyce said as her eyes looked from one girl to the other, taking in the redhead's bright red face, and the oddly shaped red marks on her neck that looked like the beginings of hickeys. Both girls averted their eyes, and suddenly found the ground to be very interesting. "So, what are you girls up to today?"

"Uhm, not alot Mom, just...ya know, hanging out." Buffy said, indicating the still on television.

"Well, I'm going to fix some dinner, Willow would you like to stay?"

"Sure, Mrs. Summers, thanks." Willow said, as she nearly fell back down onto the couch. She didn't do well with lying to parents, they made her uber nervous, and as soon as Mrs. Summers walked into the kitchen Buffy moved towards the box, her curiosity getting the best of her.

"Mom, what's in the box?" Buffy called into the kitchen.

Joyce walked out before answering, "Oh, your father sent them down to the gallery, he said it was some kind of late birthday preent for you. Why don't you open it?" Buffy didn't have to be asked twice, and Willow watched as she ripped open the package with vigor.

"Ohhhh." Buffy said as she opened the giant package to find a very large stuffed animal, holding a small gift card.

She read the small note attatched to the card, and sighed. "Dad wants me to come up this weekend," she paused, "for some 'bonding' time." She sighed as she put the card back in the package.

"Well thats wonderful honey." Joyce said as she made her way back into the kitchen, and went back to preparing dinner.

"No its not!" Buffy said loudly. "I dont wanna go, I already made plans with Willow." Buffy said, her eyes pleading with Willow to agree.

"Uhm yeah, we were going to uhm, go to see the um, meteor shower thats coming this weekend." It popped out of Willows mouth before she could stop herself, and she slapped her hand over her mouth.

"There's a meteor shower this weekend?" Joyce asked surprised.

"Well, there might be, possibly?" The redhead asked, her face scrunching up in concern for the lie she'd just gotten caught telling.

"Buffy, I'm sure your father wouldnt object if you wanted to take Willow with you to L.A. for the weekend." Joyce said crossly as she looked at the two girls. She picked up the phone before either girl could say anything, and had dialed and left a message for Hank that both of them would be staying the weekend with him. "By the way Willow, your parents called me at the gallery today and asked if you could stay with us for a few weeks while they went to a confrence in Europe." Joyce said when Willow began to protest that she would have to ask her parents before she could leave town. "They dropped off a bag for you on their way out of town." She said quietly and watched the two girls.

"If you need us, we'll be upstairs." Buffy said coldly as she grabbed ahold of Willow's hand and pulled her up the stairs.

"What am I going to do with that girl?" Joyce asked herself as she heard the door shut loudly upstairs.
