~boy, you guys just want me throw these two together, but Willow just lost her boyfriend and recently found out she was pregnant. I think she has some things to work through before hooking up with the Buff, but don't worry she will. z~
I swung by Angel's old mansion knowing that is where Faith is staying while she is in town. I knocked on the front door even though I have a key. I heard movement inside, so I know she is still here. She opened the door with a look of wonder when she saw it was me.
"What's up B? I thought I was doing patrol while you're taking care of Red," Faith said smirking.
"You are, but Willow wants to gather the Scoobies because she has something to tell us," I said hoping she doesn't ask what.
Faith just nodded grabbing her coat before we headed to my house. It used to be easy talking to Faith while we were walking, but of course that was when we were dating. Now, walks with her have become quiet and uncomfortable. I just wish I knew how we could get past it, but I haven't a clue.
I let Faith go ahead of me when we arrived. Dawn ran and jumped into her arms. That is the one thing I have missed since Faith has been gone, the way she is with Dawn. Carrying Dawn into the living room, I introduced Tara to Faith and noticed that they both looked intrigued, something to think about later. The only one missing is Giles as he and Mom came in carrying a tray of drinks.
I took my seat beside Willow as I saw Mom wrap Faith up in a hug. Faith sat across from Tara while Giles stood behind Mom with everyone else already having their seats. Tara and I both sensing Willow's nervousness, we put our hands on her back lending our strength to her.
"Okay as you all know, Oz left a few weeks ago. I found out a few days ago that I am pregnant. I have an appointment with my doctor to confirm it, but I just wanted you guys to know before you heard it somewhere else," Willow said leaning against me as I gripped her tighter.
I looked around the room at the faces of my friends. Since Mom already knew, she was fine, but Giles was cleaning his glasses, Faith looked pissed, and Xander looked stunned while Anya seemed unfazed. Dawn was practically bouncing in her seat while Tara looked like Mom, like she already knew.
"Congratulations Willow," Dawn said giving her a hug while everyone else stayed quiet.
I don't have any idea what is going through Willow's mind, but all this silence is killing me. I decided to act as I grabbed Willow's hand and take her upstairs. I really don't care what happens downstairs, but I need to reassure Willow that I'm not going anywhere.
As soon as I closed my door, Willow brokedown in my arms. I picked her up and carried her to my bed. I sat her in my lap rocking her telling her that that no matter what Mom, Dawn, and I will help her in anyway we can. While I was rocking her, I opened up my hearing to find that Mom was reading everyone the riot act.
I took both our shoes off and laid us down as I covered us with the blanket that I put over her earlier. Willow curled into my side laying her head on my shoulder, and I was almost asleep when I heard the door creak open. Mom popped her head in as I gave her the okay sign as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
I woke up to Willow tickling my neck telling me that she is hungry, and I had to go with her. I looked over at the clock and noticed it was only quarter after twelve. We slowly crept our way downstairs not to disturb anyone sleeping. When we got to the kitchen, there was a note that said there was pizza in the fridge from dinner. I grabbed Willow a juice and me a water as we sat at the island eating.
