Hope you guys are liking this so far! More action is coming up soon!

A small vibration around her wrist woke Buffy up. Looking up she saw Dylan between her and Willow, both still asleep. Shaking Willow awake she quickly saw green eyes meet her hazel. "They're here," whispering quickly she picked up Dylan as Willow quickly followed. "Get my mother, we're going to the basement." Willow nodded her head as she turned down the hall.

Buffy took the stairs to the basement. Flipping open her phone that she grabbed from her nightstand she speed dialed Faith. The girl woke fast as her phone rang. Picking it up she saw it was Buffy. "They're here." That was all she spoke before hanging up the phone.

Entering the basement she quickly made her way to a secure spot, her mother and friend behind her. Willow went straight to the magical items on the wall. Figuring out what she could use for offensive and defensive.

Handing Dylan to Joyce, the slayer opened her chest of sharp objects. Willow noticed this and spoke up. "Buffy, they're human." The look in the witch's eyes was something she couldn't argue with.

"I'm not going to kill them." It was a promise as she put on a vest, specific to holding many objects without hindering the wearer. Fixing it with dagger and a short sword before the slayer picked up a few martial arts weapons as well.

Willow tried to check the protection spell around the house, only to realize it had fallen and was magically invaded. Quickly protecting the basement she was able to do that. "They broke through the wall." Buffy knew what this meant. They had to have mages, and many of them to break her spell. "I tried it again on the basement. I don't know how long it will hold."

Dylan was clinging to the woman holding her as tears and tremors took over her tiny body. Joyce was doing her best to calm the child, but her fear was building as well.

Buffy stretched her senses and began to feel for how many they were dealing with. Willow was doing the same, feeling for strengths of the other magic users. Using some of her magic Willow linked their minds. 'Buffy, we have to get out of here.' Willow spoke through the connection.

'I know Wills, but there's too many of them.' Buffy was definitely feeling the pressure and one slayer was not enough to take them all out. She could feel they were in groups of five to ten and there were several groups surrounding the place. Further out she could sense more.

Willow closed her eyes for a second. 'Tara.' Connecting with the other witch she tried to communicate.

'Willow! Faith and I are here, but there are way too many guys.' She could tell that Tara was struggling with what to do. There were only two of them and no way of getting through without major injuries.

'I need your help. It's a bit risky though.' Preparing for what she was about to do she felt the magic within her begin to build.

'What are you planning Willow.' Hearing the unsteadiness in her friends voice, the redhead took a deep breath.

'Watch over them.'

Buffy watched as Willow had closed her eyes. The feeling of power entering the redhead began to frighten her a little. The tear that made its way down her friends face was the last thing she saw. Before her now were Faith and Tara, her mother and Dylan beside her.

Looking around frantically she couldn't see Willow. "Where is she!" No one had answered. "Where is she!" Buffy's voice started to get louder. Faith quickly moved over to her sister slayer, slightly shaking her.

"B, shut up. We can't let them hear us." She had also noticed that the witch had not appeared before them and was scared, but wouldn't let it stop her from protecting her only family. "We need to get out of here."

Dylan was crying and Joyce couldn't contain herself as she too began to breakdown from the overwhelming events. Faith moved over and took Dylan from her mother, handing the child to Buffy who quickly wrapped the only connection to her friend close to her. Faith picked up the Summers' woman and began to walk off. No one had ever seen Joyce so distraught.

'Take care of her Buffy.' Willow's voice came through her mind before she felt the connection break.

Willow made the connection with her daughter for a brief moment. 'Be good for mommy Dylan, I'll be with you soon. I love you baby.'

"I love you too mommy." Her tiny voice muffled against the slayers shoulder, but Willow had heard it before she took broke the connection with her daughter.

Buffy had heard little Dylan speak and knew what was happening. She couldn't seem to move though. She stood there, holding her friends child while the mother was being taken away. She couldn't see the house from where they were.

"Buffy." Tara was standing beside her, one hand on her arm. "We need to move, Xander is meeting us on the corner a few blocks away. We can't stay here." Tara was right. They couldn't stay, but where could they go? Giles knew every spot they had. Knew what their most likely plans would be. What could they do to stay ahead of them?

"I need to go back there." Buffy had turned her head in the direction of home. "I have to find out where they are taking her." The once mighty slayer was now reduced to whispered words. "I can't lose her Tara."

Tara had been watching the two of them together, three if you count Dylan. She had seen the way they were around each other and the love in both girls eyes towards one another. "I know Buffy, but we can't go near there. If they saw you..." they both knew what would happen. "We will find her and we will get her back."

Buffy couldn't hold it in anymore. Last night she had broken down. Crying in her friends arms as fear had taken over. Closing her eyes she could still hear Willows words and feel her touch.

Nodding her head she started to follow her sister slayer with Tara slowly guiding her. Dylan was steadily crying into her shirt, tiny hands holding tight. Buffy tried comforting the toddler, but knew it wasn't going to help that much. Her mother was gone.

Xander's van quickly pulled up and the five quickly got in with Faith, Tara, Joyce, and Anya in the back with Buffy and Dylan in the front. "Where are we going Buffy?" His voice was filled with sorrow as his life long friend was ripped away from him again.

"We need to get Dawn, she's at Janice's. I need to call Angel." With a quiet nod he started up the car and headed towards the girls home. Picking up her phone she hit punched in his number.

"Wolfram and Hart." A cheery voice spoke through.

"Get me Angel." Her voice was monotone as she spoke into the phone.

After a few moments a man's voice came through. "Buffy? What is it?"

"They have Willow." He was too stunned to talk. He knew of the feud between the council and them, but never figured Giles would do something against them. "We need a place to stay."

Shaking his thoughts he quickly replied. "I have one place up north. You guys can stay there, no one knows about it." Quickly giving a few directions and where the key was hidden the two hung up.

Dawn had just gotten into the car, quickly noticing the lack of a certain redhead. Looking around the rest of the gang she quickly knew the reason why. Keeping her mouth shut and her eyes down as silent tears began to fall.

"There's a place north, five or six hours from here. Angel says it's vacant and he'll have someone make sure its ready for us. He's gonna call the girls and tell them it has started."

Quickly driving out of the city the eight sat there quietly. Everyone thinking about what was going to happen next and what they were going to do. Willow was once again gone and Dylan was left in the hands of the only family Willow had ever really had.

The council had started this and they were going to pay.
