Giles dropped Buffy and Willow back at their house.
"How you feeling?" Willow asked Buffy, as she shut the door behind them.
"Weird," Buffy half-smiled at her, "gonna be strange without Dawnie here."
Willow walked over to the slayer and hugged her close, "I know." She whispered, as she stroked Buffy's hair.
Buffy pulled back a little and pressed her forehead to Willow's, looking into her emerald eyes. She stroked Willow's soft cheek and tilted her head slightly and closed her eyes. Willow cleared her throat and pulled out of the embrace. She made her way towards the kitchen.
"Tea?"
Buffy sighed deeply at her mistake, then followed her but stopped at the door, "uhhh, yeah, please, tea would be..." Willow bent down to get the milk out the fridge. Buffy couldn't take her eyes off that ass, "...great." She finished with a gulp.
The two settled down on the sofa with their mugs of tea and began watching TV.
Buffy was twiddling her thumbs. She felt awkward.
"Will," she began, "about the... uh... earlier, I'm sorry... you weren't helping, though!" Willow looked confused.
"Huh?"
Buffy continued her rant, "you were looking all cute, and your eyes were doing that thing where they're brown and green and blue all at the same time," she put her tea down and Willow mirrored the action, "a-and it's been three months and my slayer hormones are all a-go-go and, by the way, you're, like, really beautiful, like, all the time and I..."
Buffy's rant was cut short as Willow pressed her lips lightly to Buffy's, once, twice, three times until she deepend the kiss a little but pulled back before tongue became an issue.
"Where did that come from?" Buffy asked, biggest smile ever on her face.
Willow giggled a little before taking Buffy's hand and placing it on her chest above her fast-beating heart.
"Here," was all she whispered in reply.
Buffy smiled and pulled Willow into her so that the witch was straddling the slayer. Willow laughed a little at the blonde's actions then wrapped her arms around her neck. She rubbed Buffy's nose with her own before kissing the blonde again, this time immediately deepening the kiss and moving her hands and tangling them in Buffy's hair. Buffy responded by pulling Willow's body into her more and moaning at the feeling of their bodies pressed together. She caught Willow's bottom lip in her mouth and ran her tongue over it slowly, as though asking for permission for their tongues to meet. Willow didn't hesitate to grant access. With this, Buffy slowly pushed Willow down onto the couch, never braking the kiss. One of Buffy's hands gently grabbed the hair at the nape of Willow's neck whilst the other made it's way under Willow's top and started to travel up her stomache.
Willow broke off the kiss and froze. Panic evident in her eyes, she looked away from Buffy.
"Hey," Buffy whispered quietly, trying to get her breathing back under control and cupping Willow's left cheek with the hand she had just withdrawn from underneath her top. "We don't have to go any further if you don't want."
"It-It's not like I d-don't want to," Willow said, "I'm just..."
"Not ready," Buffy finished for her, with a sympathetic smile.
"I'm sorry," Willow said, looking up at the blonde.
"Don't be," Buffy pulled herself up off Willow back to a sitting position on the couch and helped Willow up, too, pulling her straight into a cuddle. "We don't do anything until you're ready, understand? I don't want you rushing into anything 'cause you feel you have to, OK? I'm not gonna make you doing anything you don't want to." Buffy kissed the top of her head.
Willow's eyes filled with tears, Buffy was so amazing.
"I love you," she said. It felt as though those three words were the biggest risk she'd ever taken, but Buffy was worth it.
"I love you, too," Buffy said, her own eyes starting to tear up.

Buffy was awoken by the phone ringing.
"Oh, God, please not another dream," she prayed.
Luckily it wasn't. She looked down to realise her and Willow had just fallen asleep on the couch. She smiled in relief and picked the phone up.
"Y'ellooooo?" a chirpy Buffy said.
Willow stirred to look up at Buffy with a drowzy smile. The blonde smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Hey, Buff, it's me!!" An excited Dawn shouted down the phone. "Who you kissing?" She asked with a confused face, then her eyes widened, "I bet it's Willow! I KNEW there was something going on with you two."

"Dawnie! Hi, uhhh, yeah it's Will," she said blushing deeply, and smiling at the brunette who gave her a confused face.
She put her hand over the reciever, "she heard us kissing."
Willow blushed a deep red before saying, "uhhh, say I say hi?"
Buffy laughed, "Will says 'hi'," she said talking to Dawn again.

"Say I say 'hi' back," Dawn smirked, "and tell her it's about time."

"About time, what?" Willow asked Buffy who just shrugged.
"About time, what?" Buffy asked Dawn.

"That you guys got together, silly," Dawn frowned for a second, "you are together, right?"
***************************************************************************
"Uhhh..." Buffy looked to Willow who smiled at her and kissed her cheek, then nodded and whispered an "if you want to."
Buffy smiled back, "yeah, we are, definately, definately, definately." The 'definately's' more for Willow than Dawn.

"Eeee that's so cool!! I love you, guys!" Dawn said bouncing on the sofa, when her roommate walked in. "Sorry," she said stopping bouncing and giving her a sheepish grin.
The girl just giggled back and waved a hand in the air, "knock yourself out!"
Dawn smiled and continued bouncing.
"So, how long have you guys known?"

"Uhh, Dawn we'll talk about that later, we wanna know what your campus is like! Nice room? Any good bars? Good roommates? Any good looking boys?"
Willow pouted and showed a face of mock hurt at Buffy.
"For Dawn, silly," Buffy stuck her tongue out at Willow. And Willow flashed her flirty tongue smile, at which Buffy thought of just dropping the phone and jumping on her.

"Yeah the room's cool, we got an en-suite," Dawn said, with a huge smile, "and the student union bar's like two minutes walk. I've got two roommates. One's called Sarah and the other's Zac."

"You're living with a boy?" Buffy asked as her eyes nearly popped out of her head and Willow nearly fell on the floor laughing.

"Yeah, Buff, well gotta go, nice talking to you, I'll phone you later in the week, love you, bye, bye, bye"

"Love you, too, byeeee."
Buffy hung up and snuggled properly into Willow. She looked over to the clock and saw that it read 00:30.
"You wanna go to bed?"
"I'm quite comfortable here, thankyou," she said looking up at Buffy and giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
Buffy smiled at her, "well, I'm going to bed," she said, picking Willow up and carrying her up the stairs, giggling all the way.
She put Willow down outside her room and kissed her goodnight.
"Mmmm, night, baby."
Willow smiled and kissed Buffy again.
"Night," Buffy was about to go into her room when Willow chirped up, "uhh, Buff?"
"Yeah, sweetie?"
"Late night snuggles?" she asked with the most adorable pout.
"Now, how could anyone say no to that," she said walking over to Willow and wrapping her arms around her. She smiled at her witch and kissed her gently.
"Mmmm, OK, I'll go get changed then come in for snuggles,"
"Sounds like a plan," Buffy said with a cheeky smile, she kissed her once more before they each turned into their own rooms.
Buffy was already snuggled under the covers when Willow came in in the cutest snoopy pyjamas ever.
"Sexy jammies, Wills," the blonde smiled at her.
"Well, I do try," said a sarcastic Willow, with a toothy smile, as she climbed under the covers next to Buffy. She kissed the slayer lightly before turning around, bringing one of Buffy's hands with her so Buffy was spooned around the back of her. Buffy kissed her shoulder and snuggled into her as her grip tightened on her girlfriend.
Her girlfriend. She loved the sound of that.
