Chapter 5...
***************************************************************************
Faith had just dusted her fifth vamp when she began to walk home.

"Boy, this place is dead tonight," she complained to herself, the irony not lost on her at all.

Her cell rang, showing 'Red's Cell' on her caller ID. She closed her eyes and sighed out.

"Hey, Red," she said picking up, "everything OK?"

***************************************************************************
"Hey, it's Buffy, actually," she said looking over to the brunette who had just fallen asleep in her arms. "Willow's passed out, dinner and a movie was tiring, apparenlty." She said with another smile, "I was just wondering if you got home from patrol OK?"

***************************************************************************
"Yeah, on my way back now," Faith said bluntly. She thought she heard something move and spun around quickly.

Nothing.

***************************************************************************
"OK, cool," Buffy replied, "anything out of the ordinary, tonight?"

***************************************************************************
"Nah, just you're regular dumb vamps," she smirked, "should've stayed to watch the movie instead, would have been way more scary than-"

Faith was knocked out by a pair of strong arms from behind her.

"Faith?" Buffy waited for an answer, "FAITH?"

Buffy put the phone down and headed to the door, stake in hand.

"Buffy?" Willow's sleepy voice made her turn around.

"It's OK, baby, I've just got to go and find Faith," she said trying to get the brunette back to sleep again.

"And stake her?" She asked drowzily, looking to the stake.

Buffy couldn't help but smile, "I think she's in trouble."

"I'm coming," Willow insisted and before Buffy could say no, she was being dragged out of the house by the tiny witch.

The two arrived at the grave yard.

"OK, I'll take this half, you take that half," Willow said.

"Ohhhh no, NO, no freakin' way," Buffy began to freak, "you're coming with me or going home." She said taking charge.

"But, Buff, we could find her faster if we split up," Willow argued.

"True," she admitted, "but also there's something out there that's dangerous, even to a slayer like Faith. We're sticking together." Buffy said grabbing Willow's hand.

"OK, OK," Willow said giving in.

It took the girls about ten minutes to check the whole of the grave yard, not finding even a trace of Faith.

"Oh, God, Buff... what if she's... " Willow's eyes filled with tears.

"Hey, she's not, OK?" Buffy said, reassuring Willow with an arm across her shoulders, hugging her sideways and kissing her temple.

Suddenly, Buffy heard something stomping it's way out of a crypt. She looked in each different direction quickly, turning her head like a meerkat.

"Baby?" Willow whispered.

Buffy heard the footsteps getting closer and pushed both herself and Willow behind a tomb. Seeing Willow's look of confusion, she brought a finger to her own lips and whispered, "shhhh." Willow just nodded in return. The slayer stepped away from Willow and peeked around the corner of the tomb seeing the creature that had taken Faith. It was about 7ft tall, it's skin rough and rock-like. It had burning red eyes and long, sharp claws.

"Eww, looks like something out of Star Trek," Buffy said, almost disgusted by the demons cliché appearance. She spotted the crypt door he'd left opened then reached out her hand for Willow to grab when the demon was out of sight, "c'mon."

Willow took her hand and they both ran over to the crypt. Inside, they found Faith, her body limp. Willow ran over, felt her pulse and checked for breathing.

"She's OK, just unconcious," she said relieved.

"C'mon let's get her home before butt ugly gets back," Buffy said, hoping to avoid the demon on the way back.

Luckily, the demon was not seen as Buffy carried Faith back to her and Willow's house seeing as it was the closest to the grave yard.

She put Faith in the spare bedroom and went to get her a warm drink incase she woke up.

Willow sat in a chair across from Faith, making sure she'd be OK if she woke up. When Faith began to stir, Willow walked over to her and knelt down beside the bed taking one of her hands.

"Faith?" She said gently, "Faith, can you hear me?"

"Ugh," Faith's eyes opened slowly to look down at Willow. "W-What happened?"

"Demon guy," Willow half explained, "we'll get Giles on the research first thing tomorrow."

Faith felt weak. Her head was spinning and she felt slightly concust. She couldn't keep her eyes open. That was one hell of a bump on the head!

She needed to tell Willow. She didn't know why, she just did.

"Red, I-I," her eyes were stil fluttering, "I think I'm...f-fall-f-falling... for..."

Willow missed the 'for'. She wore a worried expression.

"No, Faith," she stroked strand of Faith's hair back that were getting in her face. "You're not falling, you're in bed, see?" She said patting the covers. "You're in our spare room. It would probably be a good idea if you stopped here tonight." She said gently, letting Faith know she was concerned.

Faith just nodded. Too tired to correct Willow's assumption that she was just concust.

"Hey," Buffy walked in with the coffee, "you're awake!"

"No shit, Shirlock," she said with attitude.

Buffy frowned at the sarcasm as she placed the coffee down on the side.

"And a little concust," Willow said, smiling at her girlfriend to make sure she wasn't upset.

Buffy nodded with a smile.

"OK, well I'm gonna head off to bed," she said, "you coming?"

"Yeah, sure," Willow gave Faith a hug, "try and get some more sleep."

Faith nodded.

"Night, Red," she turned to Buffy, "sorry, B."

"Don't worry, Faith," she smiled a small but genuinly, "concussion would probably make me cranky, too. Night."

Faith watched Willow and Buffy walk out the room together, Buffy's arm around Willow's waist.

"Yeah... cranky."

***************************************************************************
"You think she's gonna be OK?" Willow asked as Buffy walked out of her en-suite.

"Yeah, just give her the night to sleep it off, she should be OK in the morning," she said, ending the conversation with a ight kiss to Willow's lips. Then another. Then a third.

The kiss deepened before tongues were duelling for dominance once again. The girls were in the position near identical to last night's. This time Buffy's hand rubbed Willow's tummy for a little while, letting her know it was there, instead of just going straight up. This time, when her hand travelled up, Willow didn't stop the kiss, so she took it as a good signal. Instead of going straight for Willow's breast, she genntly ran her hand over her ribs first, almost asking for permission. Willow still hadn't stopped with the kissing so Buffy continued. She moaned as her hand went over Willow's silky bra and began massaging slowly. Willow groaned back, tightening her grip in the slayers hair. It was only when Buffy''s other hand began travelling South that Willow pulled back.

The slayer was hurt at first, but then remembered.

This was Willow. Willow who had had three years of rape and beatings. Willow who she told she would wait for. Willow who she loved. Her Willow.

She brought her hand back up and stroked her Willow's cheek.

"Sorry," she smiled sheepishly, "kinda got carried away."

Willow smiled back.

"It's OK."

They made out a little more then fell asleep, facing one another, each wrapped up in the others arms.
