Chapter Four

[reviews]

"Oh." Willow said as her eyes went wide. "Wait a minute...you can't be a vampire! I met you during the day!" She said, pointing an accusatory finger at the blonde.

Buffy shrugged. "Gem of Amara?" She asked, holding up her hand to show the redhead the ring.

"Well then how come you're not with the killing and everything?" The redhead questioned.

"Soul. I've got one." Buffy replied as she twirled the stake out of pure boredom. It wasn't that the conversation didn't interest her.
It just didn't interest her as much as say, dancing. "Are we still cool to go to the club?"

"Yeah, definitely. But don't expect to get away that easily, I'll be questioning you more later." She said with the 'Resolve face' planted firmly in place.

"Gotcha." The blonde replied. The club wasn't far from where they were, and the walk took less than two minutes.

Entering into the all age's club, Buffy's senses went into hyper overdrive. There was an enormous amount of lust floating around the club, and not only that either. 'Just like any club' she thought to herself. Willow spotted Faith and Tara already sitting at a table and led Buffy over to them.

"Red, B." Faith said by way of greeting. They both nodded their hellos and sat down. "So what's the game plan tonight?" The slayer asked as she looked at the two of them, then to her girlfriend.

"Well, since Xander's off playing Dungeons and Dragons at the game shop, I'm free for the whole evening." Willow answered.

"How about we hit up the espresso after some dancing?" Tara asked, mostly because she wanted to talk to the new blonde about her art.

Everyone nodded their agreement. A slow song came on and Faith looked to Tara, "Wanna dance?"

"Thought you'd never ask." The witch replied with a glint in her eye. They left for the dance floor, leaving the other two sitting at the table.

"You, uhm, maybe want to dance?" Buffy asked after a moment of uncomfortable silence. She didn't really know these people that well, maybe because when Willow was talking earlier she was off in la-la land, comparing the redhead to Stella. She sighed, hoping to get over comparing the two as soon as possible.

"Oh, uhm, sure. But I really can't dance." Willow answered. It wasn't that she didn't want to slow dance with Buffy. It was that she didn't really dance. Period.

She was just thinking this as she was being drug out to the dance floor. The song's rhythm was slow, but catchy enough for her to tell how to follow Buffy's easy moves. "See this isn't so bad." Buffy leaned over and whispered into Willow's ear; unknowingly sending chills all the way down the redhead's spine.

That didn't mean that she couldn't smell the difference in the girl. As soon as she had whispered the words into the redhead's shell like ears, she had felt the girl's heart rate increase, and if she wasn't mistake she could smell her arousal. 'I thought she was straight?' she questioned herself. She mentally shrugged it off before paying better attention to the dance she was currently involved in. As the song changed, she went to pull back from the redhead in her arms, only to find herself pulled back towards the redheaded body. "What are you doing?" She asked, confusion clearly written on her face.

Willow paused for a minute, thinking of the appropriate answer. "Dancing. I don't know how to do any kind besides slow dance." She shrugged her shoulders.

"Let me teach you?" Buffy asked before turning the redhead around in her arms.

All Willow could do was nod as she felt Buffy's hands at her waist, and her breath on her neck. 'Do vampires breathe?' she asked herself. It took her all of half a second to decide that she would have to figure that out later, as her attention was instantly drawn to the fact that both her and Buffy's hips were gyrating and grinding together in a way that more than turned her on.

**********Across town at the local game shop***********

"Hm, can I get one of those packs? I need some new dice." Xander asked as he stood at the checkout counter. The game was just about to begin, and he just realized he had left is dice at home.

"Why yes, would you like the red ones or the blue ones? Or we have ones with pictures of naked women on them?" The new shopkeeper asked. He glanced at her quickly. She was blonde, with green eyes, and a cute face.

"Uhm, the blue ones will be fine. By the way, you must be new. I'm Xander." He said, holding out his hand to shake hers.

"Anya Christina Emanuella Jenkins." She said, shaking his extended hand.

A jolt of electricity shot up Xander's arm and straight to his pants. "Well, it was uhm, nice to meet you." He said as he quickly grabbed up a nearby magazine. "I'll take this too." He said, and then looked down at the magazine, realizing it was one that he already had, but that he couldn't take back his decision now.

"Great, you're total will be $12.77." She said as she held out her hand to take his money.

He handed her the cash, then quickly turned, and using the magazine as a shield walked stiffly over to the table.

"You forgot you-" She called out, holding his money in the air.

"Keep it!" He replied from his seat.

She shrugged and reached over, putting the money into the tipping jar.

Over at his table Xander was choosing which character he would be playing with this evening when he started thinking about Willow. Sure that Anya chick had turned him on, but shouldn't that really only be reserved for the redhead in his life? He paused for a minute in his musings to try and remember the last time that Willow had turned him on like that. Only she never had. He scrunched his eyes shut. Maybe them dating wasn't such a good idea?

*********Back at the Bronze*********

Buffy and Willow were still dancing with each other, and were quickly drawing a crowd around them. Faith watched from the table as Tara had to go to the restroom. She had to admit, if only to herself, that they would make a cute couple, ' Too bad Willow's straight though.' Faith thought as Tara returned.

"They're still dancing?" Tara asked a look of disbelief crossing her face, it had been nearly forty-five minutes since they had all first started dancing, and they were usually lucky to get Will out on the dance floor more than two songs. Faith nodded and glanced over at them.

"Somethin tells me that B might be tryin to get to know Red a little better." She shrugged.

"Oh." She waited a minute, and then realization clicked. "OH." Tara said again, her eyes growing large. "Do you think we should tell her that Willow's straight?"

"Nah, let her figure it out on her own." Faith said as the now tired dance pair made their way over to the table.

"So, you guys ready for some caffeinated goodness?" Willow asked, a large smile still glued to her face as she felt Buffy's hand on her lower back. It wasn't taking her long to convince herself, that maybe she was bi. She just hoped that Xander would be okay.

"Yeah, let's go." Faith replied as she stood up and made her way out of the Bronze; incredibly aware of the three women following her, especially of a certain blonde vampire who was holding onto her redhead best friends hand. She cocked her eyebrow at this, but said nothing.
